LCW Showdown Television Results 12.16.09

LCW Showdown Television Results (December 16, 2009) live from the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.

In the parking lot, Dr. Death Steve Williams was shown arriving earlier in the evening and Tony Schiavone announced that Williams had re-signed his contract and would discuss this as well as being attacked by the Raging Bull Manny Fernandez and his former manager, Cowboy Bill Watts, on a new interview segment hosted by Jesse The Body Ventura named after his new truTV show, “Conspiracy Theory.”

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena. Schiavone and Zbyszko talked about this being the final week of the LCW Showdown Championship Draft Series. They discussed the fact that, thus far, the various titles had changed hands ten times due to the randomness of the draft series and they pondered aloud whether any titles would change hands tonight.

LCW Heritage Champion Bret Hart defeated Kamala (with Kimchee) in 6:23 by submission with the Sharpshooter. After the match, LCW General Manager Harley Race came out and announced that at the LCW Endgame pay-per-view in two weeks, Bret Hart would defend his title against Kevin Von Erich.

Macho Man Randy Savage defeated Cowboy Bob Orton in 5:27 by pinfall after the flying elbow smash. After the match, the Dynamite Kid tried to attack Savage, but Savage countered, clotheslined him over the top rope and then hit him with with a flying double axehandle before security officials ran out to separate the two men. LCW General Manager Harley Race came out and announced that at the LCW Endgame pay-per-view on Sunday, December 27th, Macho Man Randy Savage would face the Dynamite Kid in an I Quit, steel cage match.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Akira Hokuto (with Devil Masami, Aja Kong and Dump Matsumoto) defeated LCW Joshi Champion Madusa (with Jaguar Yokota, Lioness Asuka and Chigusa Nagayo) in 11:47 to win the LCW Joshi Championship. During the match, Madusa had Hokuto lined up for her German Suplex, but with Kong and Masami distracting the referee, Matsumoto hit Madusa with the Dump Truck Lariat. Matsumoto was then speared by Yokota from the ring apron to the floor. Hokuto took full advantage of the situation and got the pin. Asuka and Nagayo double dropkicked Kong and Masami sending them face-first into the security guard rail.

In the back, Lock was in her candlelit dressing room polishing the LCW Women's Championship when Luna Vachon burst into the room and started attacking her, screaming that it will never be over between them. The brawl continued with both women making their way to the ring area as Vachon threw Lock down the entrance ramp. Lock stumbled to her feet and bumped into Aja Kong who had Chigusa Nagayo in a pre-chokeslam hold. Lock quickly ducked as Kong released Nagayo and hit the Uraken spinning backfist, but hit Vachon instead. In the ring, Madusa and Jaguar Yokota Irish whipped Dump Matsumoto and Devil Masami into each other. Akira Hokuto held the LCW Joshi Championship tightly in her grasp and left ringside as the show went to commercial.

After the match, Goldberg said he had taken out another broken, old man. Magnum TA came out and said, “Why don’t you try to take me out?” Goldberg said, “I’m going to do what that car accident in the 80s failed to do: I’m going to finish you!” LCW General Manager Harley Race came out and said, “In two weeks, we’re going to finish the unfinished business between the two of you. For over six months, this thing has been bubbling on the surface and it’s finally reached a boiling point. At the LCW Endgame pay-per-view in two weeks, Bill Goldberg, you will defend the newly won LCW United States Championship against Magnum TA!”

In a pre-taped segment, Jesse The Body Ventura introduced his new interview segment, “Conspiracy Theory,” named after his new truTV series. Ventura invited everyone to check out his new show on truTV every Wednesday night at 10PM. Ventura introduced Dr. Death Steve Williams. Ventura said there seemed to be a conspiracy in Legends Championship Wrestling to remove him from the company. Williams said he didn’t know anything about this and didn’t care if there was a conspiracy to remove him from the roster because he wasn’t going anywhere. Williams said he had just signed a new five-year contract with the company. Ventura said Williams had established himself, even with cancer, to be one of the most dominating men in the company and he showed no signs of slowing. Ventura said the one thing that wasn’t a conspiracy was Watts’ objective as he had made his intentions pretty clear: to take out Dr. Death. Williams didn’t speak for a moment and then said, “Bill Watts was right. I was going to quit. I was going to walk away. But now, he and Manny Fernandez both are going to wish I had.”

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW International Champion Big Van Vader defeated Ken Patera in 5:07 by pinfall after the powerbomb.

In the back, Paul Orndorff confronted LCW General Manager Harley Race and said, “I see your boy Big Van Vader just beat Ken Patera in the last Showdown Championship Draft Series match and since he doesn’t have an opponent for the LCW Endgame pay-per-view in two weeks, I’ve decided to exercise my rematch clause.” Race said, “First of all, Vader isn’t ‘my boy.’ Second of all, because of the nature of the Showdown Championship Draft Series, there are no rematch clauses, but I admire your drive so I’ll grant you your request. At LCW Endgame in two weeks, you’ll face Vader for the LCW International Championship.” Orndorff walked away as the show went to commercial.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW World Tag Team Champions The Wild Samoans defeated The Rougeau Brothers (with Jimmy Hart) in 0:16 by pinfall when Afa pinned Jacques Rougeau after the Samoan Drop. After the match, the Midnight Express came out and attacked the Wild Samoans and left with the titles. As they made their way through the back with the titles, they were stopped by LCW General Manager Harley Race who demanded that they return the titles. Dennis Condrey said what happened last week was a fluke and the titles belonged to them. Race said if that was the case they would prove it in two weeks at the LCW Endgame pay-per-view on Sunday, December 27th.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Tracy Smothers in 6:14 by pinfall after the Stone Cold Stunner. After the match, from the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone announced that Austin would sign the contract to face Stan Hansen at the LCW Endgame pay-per-view after the commercial break.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

A table had been set up in the ring and Stone Cold Steve Austin was waiting with LCW General Manager Harley Race, who had a clipboard in his hand. Race called out Stan Hansen who came out with his manager Col. Robert Parker and Maw Bass. Hansen signed the contract and then spit some chew on Austin’s chest and smiled. Austin smiled and chuckled as he wiped the chew from his chest. Austin said, “That took guts. It was stupid, but it took guts. I like guts. You know, Stan Hansen, I can share a drink with a guy like you.” Austin signed to ringside for some beers and the ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta threw some beers into him. Hansen popped open his beer and Austin said, “I said I could share a drink with you, but I didn’t say I’d actually drink with you. Austin smashed his beer can over Hansen’s head and then hit him with the Stone Cold Stunner. Austin signed the contract before slipping out of the ring and leaving through the crowd as the rest of the Desperados came into the ring. The show went off the air with Austin celebrating with the fans and the Desperados helping Hansen to his feet.
