LCW Showdown Television Results (September 16, 2009) live from the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena. Schiavone and Zbyszko discussed the naming of Harley Race as the new LCW General Manager. They also talked about tonight’s non-title main event featuring LCW International Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams taking on the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship, Sid Vicious!

LCW General Manager Harley Race came out and said he had some business to take care of tonight. Race said he admired LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin because he was a fighting champion. Race said Austin wanted a fight last week and he got one and he was going to get a fight this week as well. He announced that tonight Austin would defend his title one-on-one against the Raging Bull Manny Fernandez. “Speaking of Manny Fernandez,” Race said, “It’s become clearly evident to anyone watching that he and Tito Santana have some business to settle and they will settle it at the LCW Night of Horrors pay-per-view on Sunday, October 11th. Tonight, Tito Santana will face…Big Van Vader! And, let’s be honest, I’m an old school kind of guy so I’m going to set some old school rules tonight. If Tito Santana interferes in Manny Fernandez’s match with Steve Austin later tonight, Santana will be suspended for 30 days!” Race thanked the fans and told them to enjoy the show.

Marty Jannetty defeated Black Bart in 5:06 by pinfall after the Rocker Dropper. After the match, Dirty Dutch Mantel attacked Marty Jannetty and hit him with a powerslam and a running elbow drop before leaving ringside with Black Bart.

Before the match, the Raging Bull Manny Fernandez joined Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko in the broadcast booth. During the match, Vader and Santana brawled outside the ring and their brawl went up the entrance ramp and got closer to the broadcast booth. As they reached the broadcast booth, Santana managed to gain the upper hand on Vader, but Fernandez attacked Santana from behind, hitting him with a steel chair before leaving to the back.

In the back, LCW General Manager Harley Race approached Madusa Micelli and thanked her for joining him this week to make a very special announcement regarding the future of the Lady Legends division in Legends Championship Wrestling. They walked away together as the show went to commercial.

The remaining eight legends would go on to an eight woman tournament over the course of four weeks on LCW Showdown. At LCW Showdown at the Chase television special on Saturday, November 4th, the four winners will go on to a fatal fourway match with the winner going on to face Madusa Micelli later in the evening at Showdown at the Chase. Rich said that Tatum would be going to ringside without Missy Hyatt. Tatum threw a fit and said Rich couldn’t make that decision. He said it was up to Missy. He said he thought he was finished with Tracy Smothers when he beat him in a steel cage at LCW Caged Heat last month. Rich said, “I guess I didn’t finish you off.
