LCW Showdown Television Preview 06.24.09: Championship Edition!

This week's LCW Showdown will be a "Championship Edition" with every LCW Championship on the line - including the coveted LCW Universal Championship.

Extended Hiatus
As you may be aware, this will be the last LCW Showdown until September 9, 2009. LCW Chairman of the Board Ted Turner made the announcement last week on LCW Showdown, after negotiations to save the show at this time, fell through. LCW airs on Turner's network, and the series can only return on his say-so. Turner did announce, however, that the LCW Beach Brawl, LCW Heatwave and LCW Survival Project pay-per-views will still go ahead. Hey, we always give you a reason to come back, right?

Who's The Champion?
Last week, a 60-Minute Iron Man Match resulted in yet more controversy for the LCW Universal Championship, as no clear decision could come in the bout between Magnum TA and Ric Flair. This week, the title is on the line, as the number-one contender is Bill Goldberg, but that's not the focus of the match, the focus is: who's the champion? We're hopeful to find out this week on LCW Showdown!

International Rematch
Last week, Wildfire Tommy Rich announced that he had a championship rematch against LCW International Champion Tully Blanchard on this week's mega Championship Edition of LCW Showdown. Rich blamed his associates, Austin Idol and Hollywood John Tatum for not aiding him to victory at LCW SuperClash. Idol and Tatum, however, had a differing story, claiming that Rich cost himself the title. After an attack last week, it has been said that Rich is more determined to win the LCW International title than ever. Can this come true on this special edition of LCW Showdown.

Poffo Defending
After winning the LCW United States Championship at the assist of his father, Angelo Poffo, from his brother, Randy Savage, Lanny Poffo is set to defend the LCW United States title this week on LCW Showdown... but against who? We're going to find out this week on a live three-hour broadcast LCW Showdown!

Unified Titles ... Unified Title Match
Manny Fernandez and Terry Funk became the official LCW Unified Tag Team Champions at LCW SuperClash. This week, they'll make their first title defense on the Showdown extravaganza, but their opponents are, at this time, unknown. Which team, on the impressive LCW tag team roster, will step up?
