LCW Showdown Television Preview 06.17.09: SuperClash Fallout!

It was a night of amazing and defining moments. Alliances were formed, championships changed hands and dreams were crushed. For many, LCW SuperClash is always the start of new beginnings, but for some, this past Sunday's events crushed any hopes of new beginnings and fresh starts within the confines of the company. This, we're sure, is the thing that will set us on an unbelievable journey through the next year in LCW – but what will it bring?

Universal Controversy:
This past Sunday at LCW SuperClash, the LCW Universal Championship was vacated when a match between the champion, Magnum TA and his number-one contender, Ric Flair, ended in controversy. LCW Chairman of the Board Ted Turner, fresh off a Stone Cold Stunner earlier in the evening, vacated the title. That leads to many questions about the status of the top prize in LCW, and how the situation will be rectified. Could it be that a rematch will be set? Or maybe Ted Turner is looking to do Bill Goldberg a favor after the tremendous deed the Human Wrecking Ball did for the Chairman. One thing's for sure, we'll all be tuning into Showdown to find out!

Founder Gone:
This past Sunday, LCW Founder, and former Chairman of the Board, Christian Calaway's life came tumbling down around him, when Stone Cold Steve Austin lost to Bill Goldberg, forcing Calaway out of the company he created forever. With reports circling that Calaway went AWOL after the pay-per-view, and that Steve Austin is feeling rather guilty about the loss, what will happen this week on LCW Showdown?

Consolidating Championships:
This past Sunday, at the biggest event of the year, Manny Fernandez and Terry Funk officially became the LCW Unified Tag Team Champions. But, there's no rest for the champions, as they have an entire roster of legendary tag teams to face. But which of these tag teams will get the chance to win the tag team straps first?

Savage Cheated:
Randy Savage was cost his LCW United States Championship by, of all people, his own father Angelo Poffo. Poffo, who is Savage and Lanny Poffo's father, cost Savage the title this past Sunday at SuperClash, allowing his other son, The Genius, to pick up title gold. But the question needs to be answered: why?

Departing Disciples:
It's official: the Disciples of Allah have officially been disbanded, never to reform in Legends Championship Wrestling again. They're all going separate ways, but it still remains to be seen who can come out the better after this huge split.

Also, watch out for:
Tully Blanchard unified the LCW International and Television titles at SuperClash. The Television title has now been retired, but what's next for the International Championship? Could it be that Hollywood John Tatum and Austin Idol are eyeing the gold, as they failed to help Rich on Sunday?

Sid Vicious turned on his Skyscraper partner Dan Spivey this past Sunday. What's next for the 6 foot 9 monster?

Superstar Billy Graham returned to Legends Championship Wrestling on Sunday, helping Paul Orndorff against Kevin Sullivan, Sir Oliver Humperdink and Luna Vachon. Sullivan, Humperdink and Vachon were under the illusion he was there to help them, when in reality he was there to hurt them. With trouble in paradise brewing between Vachon and Sullivan, what will happen on Showdown?

Tito Santana got rid of his arch nemesis Rick Martel this past Sunday. What's next for Santana? Is he looking for title gold? Only time will tell.

It's all to play for this week on LCW Showdown. And, as always, it's sure to be totally unpredictable!
