LCW Showdown Television Preview 06.03.09: Flair is Flair!

With LCW SuperClash just two weeks away, this week's LCW Showdown will be pivotal as the legends of Legends Championship Wrestling attempt to continue gaining momentum heading into the biggest event of the year.

Flair Contending... again?:
Last week on LCW Showdown, Ric Flair made another return to Legends Championship Wrestling, facing Barry Windham in the main event, with the winner moving on to SuperClash on June 14 to meet LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA. Flair won the match decisively and is officially now the number-one contender. As SuperClash draws nearer, what will Champion and Challenger have in store for one another? And what has Barry Windham got to say about losing his status as number one contender last week?

A Stone Cold Classic:
Last week, we found out that at LCW SuperClash it will be Bill Goldberg vs. Steve Austin with LCW Chairman of the Board Ted Turner in Goldberg's corner and LCW Founder Christian Calaway in Austin's corner. The respective winner will gain COMPLETE control over Legends Championship Wrestling and will be the Chairman of the Board with the other having to leave Legends Championship Wrestling. Last week, a tag team match between Goldberg and Diamond Dallas Page and LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA and Austin took an unexpected twist when Dr. Death Steve Williams intervened. This week on LCW Showdown, with Austin and Goldberg under the same roof, and their epic encounter just weeks away, it will be a tumultuous atmosphere to say the least!

Feeling The Bang:
Last week, DDP felt the “bang” at the hands of Dr. Death Steve Williams, when Williams interfered in the aforementioned tag match, spearing Page. Reports have circulated around the locker room that Dr. Death has had enough of Page and he's been telling a lot of people backstage that he'll “give Page any match he wants” at LCW SuperClash. We're not sure what this entails, and whether Page will take him up on that. One thing we do know, however, is that Williams is looking for revenge!

Triple Threat Tumult:
As announced on LCW Showdown several weeks ago, the LCW United States and World Tag Team Titles will be officially unified at LCW SuperClash on June 14th, in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. With Terry Funk and Manny Fernandez abandoning their respective partners and joining forces, Big Van Vader and One Man Gang have been forced to find new partners. Last week, Big Van Vader found his partner in Stan Hansen, but the two failed to mesh to find success in their first outing as a team. This week, will One Man Gang be any luckier when he reveals his tag team partner to the world. And you have to know that Terry Funk and Manny Fernandez will be watching.

The House Falls Down:
Last week, an edition of the Doll House, with special guest Missy Hyatt, ended in disaster when LCW Television Champion Wildfire Tommy Rich, Austin Idol and Hollywood John Tatum attacked LCW International Champion Tully Blanchard. What will come of this, on this weeks edition of LCW Showdown?

Benedict “Anvil”:
Dynamite Kid was attacked in the locker room over a month ago. His assailant a mystery until last week, when it was revealed that Jim The Anvil Neidhart was behind the attack. When questioned on his decision to attack Dynamite, the Anvil cited he was “doing it for Bret Hart” and said that they should be getting the Tag Team Championship match, not Kid and Hart. It ended in a brawl between Neidhart and Hart, and you have to believe there will be some sort of confrontation, possibly leading to something bigger, this week on LCW Showdown.

Also Watch Out For:
Last week, it was announced that LCW Heritage Champion Nikita Koloff, Sgt. Slaughter and Ken Patera would face The Disciples of Allah at LCW SuperClash. If Patera's team won the match, the Disciples of Allah faction would split. This week, we're sure that the Disciples will look to build some momentum.

This week is sure to be one hell of a show. With SuperClash around the corner, you can't afford to miss out!
