LCW Showdown Television Preview May 27, 2009: The Countdown Continues!

With the LCW SuperClash pay-per-view on Sunday, June 14th, 2009, rapidly approaching, the legends of Legends Championship Wrestling are stepping up their game to ensure a spot on the card. This week's show will be no different.

Second Chance for Windham:
Last week on LCW Showdown, Barry Windham defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin in a number one contenders match. Due to the stipulation of the match, Windham is now the number-one contender to the LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA, and will face Magnum in an Uprising rematch at LCW SuperClash. Windham's victory, in many people's eyes, is tainted, as he beat Austin with the help of Bill Goldberg, who inexplicably got involved. With SuperClash now being headlined by Magnum-Windham II, what can we expect as this bitter rivalry rages on. And will Stone Cold seek revenge on Goldberg?

Sharing Power:
As LCW lawyers continue to try and solve the question as to who is the LCW Chairman of the Board - Christian Calaway or Ted Turner, it would appear that Calaway and Turner are sharing power in a delicately tentative agreement they are calling "operational compromise." We saw an example of this last week, as Calaway and Turner went back and forth on who should be the number-one contender to Magnum TA's LCW Universal Championship, until it was settled by the LCW Board of Director member. Shared power is sure to create some controversial moments in Legends Championship Wrestling over the next few weeks. What will happen?

(Dr.) Death Threats:
While Diamond Dallas Page was crowned the King of the Legends at Uprising last month, Dr. Death Steve Williams is still unhappy about it. After hitting Page with a Spear through his own throne at Uprising, then promising to 'break' Page last week, what does Williams have in mind? What is he going to do to the new King of the Legends? Will he even get the chance to get his hands on Page with Eric Bischoff, LCW Chairman Ted Turner and Bill Goldberg around him?

Chasing Championships:
With the LCW United States and World Tag Team Championships officially vacant, it has been decided that they will officially be unified at LCW SuperClash... in a triple threat match! Manny Fernandez and Terry Funk will face Big Van Vader, with a partner of his choosing, and One Man Gang, with a partner of his choosing, to determine, officially, the Unified Tag Team Champions. But with other teams such as Doom lurking around for a title shot, whoever wins this match at SuperClash has to be alert and on their toes as they won't be celebrating for long.

Macho Champion:
Last week, Macho Man Randy Savage took the LCW United States Championship from Rick Martel, with a little assistance from Tito Santana. Santana, who was injured at the hands of Martel when Santana didn't give his former Strike Force partner a shot at the United States Championship, has been out of action for a few months. Returning at LCW Uprising, he has one thing on his mind: vengeance. Who will be the Macho Man's number-one contender? And will Tito Santana finally get his hands on Rick Martel?

Rebuilding The House:
After turning on Paul Orndorff at LCW Uprising, Sir Oliver Humperdink has made it clear that he is going to rebuild the New House of Humperdink, beginning with Kevin Sullivan. From last week, it would appear that Paul Orndorff isn't done with Sullivan or Humperdink. What will come of this situation?

Spears of Dynamite:
After being attacked a month ago, the Dynamite Kid is still looking for the man who attacked him. Last week, he announced that he was going to speak with the janitor. Has he done so? And will he be looking for revenge on Goldberg, who hurt, with a spear, Jim Neidhart last week? Dynamite's investigation continues this week.

Also, watch out for...
Last week, the Disciples of Allah attacked LCW Heritage Champion Nikita Koloff and Sgt. Slaughter during a title match, before Ken Patera cleared the ring. What will happen next?

The Destruction Crew are on the hunt for the LCW Unified Tag Team Championships after SuperClash, but so is everyone else. How will the number-one contenders be decided?
