{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko interviewed LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway live via satellite from his hospital bed. When Calaway appeared on the LegendsTron, the audience exploded with cheers. Calaway said he was understandably glad that he’s once again the Chairman of the Board and promised that things would most certainly be different this time. Calaway said he was anxious to return to work and jokingly told Schiavone to tell the staff of LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com that they could stop referring to him as the former Chairman of the Board. Schiavone laughed and said he would pass along the message and then asked about Austin’s heroics at the end of LCW SuperClash last Sunday. Calaway said that Austin saved his life. Austin getting him to the hospital in time saved his life. Calaway said that when Austin was “stomping a mudhole” in him in the corner he dislodged the bullet and while it caused him to bleed, it moved it from his heart so that doctors could remove the bullet. Calaway said he just wanted to thank Austin and said, “Anything I can do to make it up to you, just let me know.” Calaway thanked the fans for their support and forgiveness and renewed faith in him and said he would be live in person on LCW Showdown next week. Schiavone thanked Calaway for the interview and Calaway thanked Schiavone. After the interview, the cameraman laid down the camera, but the feed to the LegendsTron remained live. Calaway thanked the cameraman and the cameraman said he was going to get a soda and asked Calaway if he wanted one. Calaway said he would take a Mountain Dew if they had one. The cameraman could be seen leaving as the camera was still on Calaway laying in bed. A nurse came in and told Calaway that someone from the District Attorney’s office was here to see him. Calaway said to send him in and the man walked into the office and introduced himself as the Assistant District Attorney. The man told Calaway that forensics couldn’t do anything with the bullet that was removed from his shoulder several months ago. But forensics had returned on the bullet that was just removed and they were able to match it to a gun. The man said, “The bullet came from a gun registered to a…Nickla Roberts Smith. Do you know who this person is, Mr. Calaway?” Calaway said he did and the man asked how Ms. Roberts Smith would have come to be involved in the shooting when the Iron Sheik was the one with the gun. Calaway said he didn’t know, but she was known professionally as Baby Doll, the other person in the room with Calaway and the Iron Sheik at the time of the shooting. The man suggested that maybe she had a gun small enough to be hidden in a pocket and that she may have taken the opportunity to, while wrestling the Iron Sheik’s gun away from him, shoot Calaway with her own gun. Calaway said that sounded like a plausible, reasonable enough explanation. The man asked if Calaway wanted to press changes, but Calaway said, “Mister, I know this isn’t your case and you’re just passing along the news, but I’m in the wrestling business. We handle our own and I’ll handle this. I won’t be pressing charges.” The show went to commercial as Calaway had an angry look on his face.

LCW Showdown Television Results 06.18.08

LCW Showdown Television Results (June 18, 2008) live from 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena.

From the ring, ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta introduced the People’s Champion and Diamond Dallas Page came out. Page started talking about facing the Rock at LCW SuperClash and the Rock came out and joined him in the ring. They compared their careers in the ring as well as their careers in Hollywood and Rock said, “You see, Page, that’s what you don’t seem to understand: it’s not about what you or I think, it’s not about who’s been more successful in the ring or in Hollywood. It’s not about the Diamond Cutter or the Rock Bottom or the People’s Elbow or the People’s Eyebrow. It’s about who is the People’s Champion!” Page said, “Why don’t we ask the fans, right here, right now Rock. (Speaking to the fans) Who do you guys think is the People’s Champion. Do you think I’m the People’s Champion?” Half of the audience cheered and half of the audience booed. Page continued, “How about the Rock? Do you think the Rock is the People’s Champion?” Some of the audience cheered, but a larger segment of the audience booed than booed for Page. Page said, “Wow, Rock, maybe we don’t have to have a match. Sounds like I might be the real People’s Champ after all. I mean, Rock, no matter what you do, no matter what you say, no matter who you ask the result is always the same. I don’t know if you saw the poll on LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com, but you’re not the People’s Champ anymore. Most of the people in this audience don’t even want you to be here.” The Rock got in Page’s face and Page said, “You want to know what doesn’t matter? What does matter is what any of them say because we’re going to settle this once and for all at LCW SuperClash. In just four days, this will be settled once and for all and when you’re looking up at the lights after taking the Diamond Cutter, you’ll know without a shadow of a doubt that while you might be the big Hollywood movie star, in wrestling, you’re not the People’s Champion anymore. After LCW SuperClash in four days, I’ll be what I’ve always been, the real People’s Champion. BANG!” Page went to walk away, but Rock grabbed Page and hit him with the Rock Bottom and left the ring to a mix of cheers and boos.

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s go now to legendary talk show host Maury Povich, who is in the crowd to get the opinion of some of our fans.” As video footage of Missy Hyatt’s stalker played on the LegendsTron, Povich asked several people in the audience if they thought Missy Hyatt’s stalker was a man or a woman. A man at ringside, “Yo, that’s a dude, Maury. He ain’t got no boobs. It can’t be a woman.” The woman next to him said, “That a woman, Maury. Look at the way she walks. And those hips. You can wrap your chest to hide boobies, but you can’t hide the hips. That’s a woman! It’s a woman, Maury! I know it!” Another woman said, “I think it’s a man, Maury. LCW Showdown Television Results 06.11.08

LCW Showdown Television Results (June 11, 2008) live from the Winnipeg Arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena.

LCW Founder, and former Chairman of the Board, Christian Calaway came out and said he signed a contract last week on LCW Showdown to face Stone Cold Steve Austin at LCW SuperClash in two weeks because he needed to prove to Austin as much as he needed to prove to himself that he wasn’t better than Austin, because he honestly doesn’t think he’s going to beat Austin at LCW SuerClash, but to prove that he was man enough to step into the ring with Austin. Calaway said he had been training all week with former AWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel and would have a special exhibition match tonight with Bockwinkel. Calaway said he hadn’t been in a ring in a year, since he faced and beat The Rock at LCW SuperClash last year. Suddenly, LCW United States Champion Tully Blanchard’s entrance music began to play and Blanchard came to the ring and said that Calaway wouldn’t have beaten the Rock without his help and if Calaway needed him to insure a victory for him again this year, he would be honored to be his personal insurance policy. Blanchard said the victory over Austin at LCW SuperClash could be the first step in restoring the Entourage. Calaway thanked Blanchard, but said he didn’t need him at LCW SuperClash because he was going to face Austin like a man one on one. Calaway also said the Entourage was dead and would never ever exist again and that Blanchard needed to get over it. Calaway turned his attention away from Blanchard and went on to continue what he was saying before Blanchard came out. Out of nowhere, Blanchard attacked Calaway from behind, hitting him with the title belt. Blanchard yelled at Calaway and was going to hit him with the slingshot suplex, but Stone Cold Steve Austin stormed into the ring and hit Blanchard with the Stone Cold Stunner and Blanchard rolled out to the floor. Austin looked down at Calaway for a moment, but didn’t touch him and just walked out of the ring. From the broadcast booth, Larry Zbyszko asked Tony Schiavaone as Austin left ringside, “What was that Tony? Austin had a perfect opportunity to gain an advantage, to take advantage of Calaway and he didn’t take it.” Schiavone said, “Maybe Austin doesn’t think he needs the advantage?”

Missy Hyatt came out and didn’t waste any time calling out the person who had been stalking her over the past few weeks. The stalker came out and joined Hyatt in the ring and she demanded that the stalker reveal who they were. Hyatt said, “I don’t even know if you’re a man or a woman. I mean, come on, what’s your deal anyway?” The stalker got closer to Hyatt and she started backing away and the stalker eventually cornered Hyatt in the corner. Hyatt screamed until the stalker menacingly put a finger to her mouth and said, “Shhhh!” The stalker caressed Hyatt’s face and then smelt her hair and then gently touched her face before kissing Hyatt on the lips. Hollywood John Tatum ran out and went to attack the stalker, but the stalker dropkicked Tatum and clotheslined him over the top rope. As the stalker left the ring, Hyatt seemed equally confused and intrigued by what just happened. A smile momentarily appeared on her face, but she quickly jumped out of the ring to check on the fallen Tatum. However, as she checked on Tatum, she kept looking up the entrance ramp, watching the stalker leaving ringside. From the broadcast booth, Larry Zbyszko asked Tony Schiavone, “What the hell was that, Tony?” Schiavone responded, “Better question would be who is the stalker? We still don’t know who this person is. We don’t know if it’s a man or…I mean, could it be a woman? We still don’t know.” Zbyszko said, “I don’t know, Tony. We might have just seen some hot lesbian action. I mean, look at the stalker walk away. Come on, that's a woman if I’ve ever seen one.!" Schiavone said, "Or infamous Georgia promoter, the late, great Jim Barnett is back from the dead."

In the back, The Hart Foundation approached Demolition and Bret Hart said, “Look guys, we saw you out there and we’re just kind of wondering what makes you think that you guys deserve a title shot at LCW SuperClash for the LCW World Tag Team Championships.” Demolition Ax said they had beaten The Skyscrapers before and they would do it again, but this time for the titles. The Hart Foundation challenged Demolition to a match next week on LCW Showdown and if they could beat Demolition they would get the title shot at LCW SuperClash. Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, take that beat down you just experienced as the challenge and take this as the warning: just leave the titles in the ring tonight. Don’t pick them up and don’t show up at LCW SuperClash because you won’t be walking out with the titles anyway so there’s no reason to suffer needlessly at the hands of the future LCW United States Tag Team Champions the Powers of Pain.”

Austin signed the contract and before signing the contract Calaway said, “Let me explain something to you, Steve. I’ve been to the bottom of the barrel. You just see me as a suit, some successful, power mad, money hungry guy who has always had money and has always been successful. Steve, I’ve dealt with bullies before: I had the abusive step-father. I’ve gone without before: I had the mother who starved herself so her son could eat. You think that I’m doing this just to get my company back? I’m doing this so I never have to go back to the life I had before this company. You were the longest reigning LCW Universal Champion in LCW history. You proved yourself and…damn it, Steve, I’m actually proud of you. But at LCW SuperClash, I’m going to do everything I can to kick your ass!
