LCW Showdown Television Results 12.10.08
From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena. Schiavone and Zbyszko discussed Superstar Billy Graham winning a 20-man battle royal last week to win the LCW Heritage Championship. Schiavone reminded everyone that it was three years ago that Graham won a 16-man tournament to become the first LCW Heritage Champion. Schiavone and Zbyszko then talked about former LCW Heritage Champion, Stan Hansen, the man that Graham last eliminated from the battle royal last week, attacking Graham and stealing the title.
Stan Hansen came out with the LCW Heritage Championship title belt that he stole from Superstar Billy Graham who won the title in a 20-man battle royal last week. Hansen said if anyone wanted the title they were going to have to take it from his cold, dead hands. Superstar Billy Graham came out and brawled with Hansen in the ring, but Hansen managed to gain the advantage, grabbed the title belt, and blasted Graham with the belt before exiting up the entrance ramp. LCW General Manager Nick Bockwinkel came out and announced that Hansen would face Graham tonight!
In the back, Cowboy Bill Watts and Dr. Death Steve Williams were walking through the arena corridor when they ran into the Raging Bull Manny Fernandez. Fernandez and Williams got in each other’s face, but Watts kept them apart and said while he understood they were focused on each other and their match tonight they needed to keep their focus on the real target: Magnum TA and the LCW Universal Championship. Fernandez said if it wasn’t for the distraction from Williams and Nikita Koloff brawling at ringside, he would have beaten Magnum TA and he’d be the new LCW Universal Champion. Fernandez said he would be the new LCW Universal Champion at the LCW Endgame pay-per-view. Watts said he would have to go through Dr. Death first and Fernandez said that wouldn’t be a problem and walked away.

Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, and Baby Doll came out and called out Paul Roma and sent him into the ring. Flair reminded Roma that if he ever wanted to be a Horsemen, he’d have to win three matches in a row for the next three weeks and Flair said because ladies go first tonight’s opponent would be Baby Doll’s pick. Baby Doll announced that Paul Roma would face Sam Houston. Houston came out for the match with Roma as Flair, Blanchard, and Baby Doll watched the match from the entrance stage.
Paul Roma defeated Sam Houston in 5:38 by pinfall after the diving elbow drop. After the match, Flair said he was impressed, but still didn’t know who Roma was or what he had ever done and didn’t deserve to call himself a Horsemen. Flair said Roma reminded him a lot of the Rock, just another young punk using someone to get ahead. Flair said Roma tried to use the Horsemen to make a name for himself like the Rock used Ron Simmons and the Nation of Domination to make a name for himself. Flair said we’d see if Roma could get closer to a spot in the Horsemen and making a name for himself by winning his match next week. Flair, Blanchard, and Baby Doll walked away leaving Roma in the ring.

Graham left ringside and joined Bockwinkel on the entrance stage telling Bockwinkel that if Hansen wanted a rematch he could have it because he had just taken the title from his cold hands because he was pretty sure he had just knocked Hansen out, but he’d be more than willing to work on making those cold hands dead. The Midnight Express got out of the ring and passed by Dirty Dick Slater and Cowboy Bob Orton as Col. Robert Parker sent them into the ring to help the Long Riders. The four teams in the ring brawled with each other as the Midnight Express left ringside. Meanwhile, at ringside, Col. Robert Parker seemed more interested in Maw Bass than the action in the ring and Maw Bass seemed flattered. On the entrance ramp, the Midnight Express seemed to be enjoying the brawl in the ring. LCW General Manager Nick Bockwinkel came out and sent security officials into the ring to separate the four teams. As security separated the teams in the ring, Bockwinkel told the Midnight Express to look into the ring because one of those teams would be named the number one contender and they would earn that right by winning a fatal four way match next week on LCW Showdown.
