LCW Showdown Television Results 05.21.08

LCW Showdown Television Results (May 21, 2008) live from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, FL.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena.

LCW General Manager Ole Anderson came out to the ring and demanded that Nikita Koloff come out with the LCW Universal Championship and hand over the championship to him. Koloff came out with the title belt and, from the entrance ramp, said he wasn’t going to give Austin the title until he got what he wanted. Anderson said, “You told LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com that all you wanted to be was champion. Well, I can guarantee that you will never be champion again if you don’t surrender that title right now!” Koloff said, “I will not give title back. I will fight Austin for title at LCW Uprising…in ladder match!” The audience exploded and Koloff said, “I lost title in a ladder match. I will regain the title in a ladder match.” Anderson said that he’d have to run that decision by the Board of Directors. Koloff said Anderson could do that, but the title was staying with him until he got what he wanted. Koloff walked away and Anderson left the ring.

You want me to like you, you want us to be friends, whatever, the first step is getting me my damn title back. I don’t know if you and that Russian son of a bitch are friends anymore or not. The Rock came out and said he was going to finish the Brothahood once and for all when he and his father beat Tony Atlas, Butch Reed, and Slick in a handicap match at the LCW Uprising pay-per-view this Sunday. Rock said that if they can beat Atlas, Reed and Slick that Atlas and Reed can’t team together ever again, but since Slick agreed to be a participant in the match, he could manage them as singles wrestlers. Slick came out and joined The Rock in the ring. Slick said that The Rock should go back to Hollywood. The Rock said he shouldn’t wait until LCW Uprising and should kick Slick’s ass right now. The Rock grabbed Slick, but Tony Atlas and Butch Reed, who came though the crowd, jumped over the security barricade and attacked The Rock from behind. In the ring, a table was set up with two chairs and a ladder behind it. Ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta introduced LCW General Manager Ole Anderson who came down to the ring and introduced LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and Nikita Koloff, who came out with the title belt that he had stolen from Austin last week on LCW Showdown. Austin and Koloff both sat down, but Koloff kept the title belt over his shoulder. Anderson handed Austin the pen, but Austin said he wasn’t signing a thing until he got his title back. Koloff said he wasn’t signing anything until he got something else. Anderson said he got his ladder match and said he would return the title if he got a ladder match with Austin at the LCW Uprising pay-per-view. Koloff said he wanted one more thing. Austin said, “Give him whatever he wants. I just want my damn title back before I have to take it right here, right now!” Koloff said he wanted a special ringside enforcer to make sure no one interfered in the match. Koloff said it was someone neither of them could trust, but someone who would be fair to both of them…LCW Founder, and former Chairman of the Board, Christian Calaway! Calaway came out and joined them in the ring. Calaway said, “Nikita, I don’t know what you’re game is and I don’t know what you think you’re going to accomplish with this, but Austin I can assure you that I knew nothing about this. But let me tell both of you that as a ringside enforcer in this match, I will be fair and impartial and make sure that no one interferes. I just want the best man to win and the best man to walk away as the champion. If you both agree, I’d be honored to be at ringside for what promises to be a historic match.” Anderson notated the change on the contract as Austin looked at Calaway for a moment. Anderson passed the contract to Austin, but Austin signaled that he wanted his title back. Koloff signed the contract and handed the title to Austin who then signed the contract. Meanwhile, Manny Fernandez and Hollywood John Tatum were shown brawling in the entrance way and they brawled to ringside. Anderson and Calaway left the ring and Koloff started brawling with Austin as Fernandez and Tatum brawled into the ring. Fernandez and Austin gained the upper hand and knocked Tatum and Koloff out of the ring. Anderson said, “This looks like a great main event to me. Tonight, LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and LCW Television Champion Manny Fernandez will face the respective number one contenders for their titles, Nikita Koloff and Hollywood John Tatum, in a tag team match.
