LCW Showdown Television Results 02.13.08

LCW Showdown Television Results (February 13, 2008) live from the Mitchell Center in Mobile, AL.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena. Schiavone and Zbyszko talked about tonight's main event featuring LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham facing Big Van Vader and Dr. Death Steve Williams.

The Powers of Pain (with Paul Jones) defeated LCW World Tag Team Champions The Wild Samoans in 10:25 by pinfall to win the LCW World Tag Team Championships when The Barbarian pinned Sika after Paul Jones tripped Sika as he was attempting a Samoan Drop which caused Sika to fall backwards and The Barbarian to land on top of him for the pinfall and the win.

Sheamus O'Shaunessy

In the back, Rowdy Roddy Piper approached Sheamus O'Shaunessy and told O'Shaunessy that he didn't need The Genius Lanny Poffo holding him down or holding him back anymore. Piper said O'Shaunessy should be his own man. Piper said O'Shaunessy was impressive, but he wasn't even going to be a legend if he didn't lose "that loser" and stand on his own. Before walking away, Piper said, "Just think about it."

Koko B. Ware defeated The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) in 5:10 by pinfall with a small package rollup.

In the back, Mean Gene Okerlund interviewed LCW Television Champion Manny Fernandez about pride. Fernandez said he was a proud American, he was a proud of his Mexican heritage, he was proud Navy Seal, he was proud to be in Legends Championship Wrestling and he was proud to be the LCW Television Champion and he was going to continue defending his title with pride and honor.

In the back, Rocky Johnson approached his tag team partner Tony Atlas and his manager Slick about both of them walking out on him last week on LCW Showdown. Atlas said it wasn't personal and said he was just upset. Slick told Johnson not to take it personally and not to be so sensitive. Johnson said, "Whatever, man. Look, it's not the first time it's happened. We're supposed to be a team. We're supposed to work as a unit, but that just hasn't been happening recently. Look, all I know is if it happens again, I'm out. I'm done with the Brothahood!" Johnson walked away as Slick and Atlas look at each other before looking at Johnson walk away.

LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Rock 'n' Roll Express (with Lady Amazon) defeated The Sheepherders in 4:28 by pinfall when Ricky Morton pinned Butch Miller after a missile dropkick. After the match, the Orient Express appeared with their manager Mr. Fuji and attacked the Rock 'n' Roll Express. The Fantasics came out and cleared the Orient Express and Mr. Fuji out of the ring and helped the Rock 'n' Roll Express to their feet.

Randy Savage came out and got in the ring and started talking about Hulk Hogan again saying that he was a coward for trying to hide money from his wife. Savage told Hogan to be a man and "pay up," just like Hogan's going to pay up when he gets in the ring with Savage again. Savage challenged Hogan to return to Legends Championship Wrestling again and said he wanted the Madness to meet the Mania in the center of the ring one more time. Diamond Dallas Page then came out and said, "Hey yo, Savage, why don't you just shut the hell up, monkey!? Hogan doesn't have time for you, man. Don't you get it, brother? You're just not worth it. American Gladiators is a success and he's doing his personal family thing, man. But if you want a fight, brother, I've got a fight for you." Savage challenged Page to come into the ring and Page put down his microphone and started making his way down the entrance ramp. As he was making his way down the ramp, The Genius Lanny Poffo appeared and ran down after him and attacked him before he made it to the ring. Poffo threw Page into the ring where Savage was waiting and attacked him the moment he was in the ring. Savage and Poffo continued attacking Page and Savage hit him with a flying elbow smash before leaving the ring with Poffo.

Killer Khan (with Mr. Fuji) won a twenty-man battle royal in 19:06 to become number one contender for the LCW Heritage Championship after LCW Heritage Champion Jesse Ventura interfered and eliminated Butch Reed (with Slick), who was the last man in the ring with Killer Khan, giving Khan the win. Ventura attacked Khan after an altercation last week on the entrance ramp between Ventura who was leaving the ring and Khan who was making his way to the ring ended with Khan spitting his mist in Ventura's eyes, temporarily blinding Ventura. After the match, Ventura and Khan continued brawling with each other as security officials came out and tried to separate them. Also in the battle royal were: Billy Jack Haynes, Corporal Kirchner, George “The Animal” Steele, Hillbilly Jim, Ivan Putski, Jack Brisco, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Ken Patera, Kevin Von Erich, Ron Garvin, Greg Valentine (with Jimmy Hart), Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin (with Precious), Hollywood John Tatum (with Missy Hyatt), Kamala (with Gary Hart), King Kong Bundy, One Man Gang (with Skandor Akbar), Outlaw Ron Bass (with James J. Dillon), and Stan Hansen. During the match, Stan Hansen and the Dynamite Kid eliminated each other and brawled to the back.

In the back, Stan Hansen and The Dynamite Kid continued to brawl with each other as security officials tried to separate them. LCW General Manager Ole Anderson appeared and announced that at LCW Descent in two weeks in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, Hansen and Dynamite, both legends in Japan, would face each other in a match to determine the number one contender for the LCW Heritage Championship.

Abdullah the Butcher (with Gary Hart) defeated LCW Television Champion Manny Fernandez in 7:23 by pinfall when Abdullah pinned Fernandez with a schoolboy rollup to win the LCW Television Championship. During the match, the referee was knocked out and Gary Hart called out Kamala from the back. Kamala came out and, with Abdullah, started attacking Fernandez. Iceman King Parsons came out and cleared Kamala out of the ring. Meanwhile, Hart handed something to Abdullah before running out of the ring from Parsons who was going after him. As Parsons turned around, he saw Abdullah lighting a fireball that Abdullah was going to hit Fernandez with. However, Parsons pushed Fernandez out of the way and Abdullah hit Parsons with the fireball instead of Fernandez. As Parsons writhed in pain on the mat, Fernandez went to check on Parsons, but Abdullah grabbed Fernandez and rolled him up for the pinfall and the win. After the match, Parsons was taken from ringside on a stretcher as medics tended to his burned face and eyes.

In the back, medical officials wrapped Iceman King Parsons' face in gauze as former LCW Television Champion Manny Fernandez looked on and thanked Parsons for saving him from the fireball and taking the bullet himself. LCW General Manager Ole Anderson appeared and said, "In two weeks, at the LCW Descent pay-per-view in Tokyo, Japan, Manny Fernandez you're going to get your rematch with Abdullah the Butcher

The Orient Express (with Mr. Fuji) defeated The Fantastics in 4:10 by pinfall when Sato pinned Jim Powers with a bridging belly-to-back suplex after the crescent kick from Tanaka. After the match, Mr. Fuji challenged the LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Rock 'n' Roll Express again to a match at the LCW Descent pay-per-view. Lady Amazon came out and accepted the challenge.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone announced that Jake Roberts had decided to extend his stay in rehab and would not be able to face LCW United States Champion Tully Blanchard at the LCW Descent pay-per-view in two weeks. Blanchard appeared in the broadcast booth with Baby Doll and said, "You know, if figures that Roberts wouldn't show up, but, you know what, it's all right. Roberts, stay in rehab. The title will still be around my waist when you get out. As for LCW Descent, I'm issuing an open challenge. I'm walking into the Tokyo Dome as the United States Champion and I'm walking out of the Tokyo Dome as the United States Champion no matter who walks in there against me!" Blanchard slammed down the microphone and walked away. Schiavone announced that currently featured LCW legend Scott Hall and former LCW legend Ron Simmons had entered rehab and he wished them both the best during their time in rehab.

The Skyscrapers defeated Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson (with Slick) in 6:21 by pinfall when Sid Vicious pinned Tony Atlas after a powerbomb in a match to determine the number one contenders for the LCW World Tag Team Championships. During the match, the LCW World Tag Team Champions The Powers of Pain and their manager Paul Jones joined Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko in the broadcast booth. After the match, as Atlas and Johnson made their way through the curtain, they passed the Wild Samoans and Slick made a comment in their direction. Atlas and Johnson started brawling with the Wild Samoans which led to security officials coming out to separate the two teams.

LCW Women's Champion Luna Vachon defeated Rockin' Robin in 4:23 by pinfall after the Luna Bomb. After the match, Vachon continued attacking Robin until Madusa Micelli came out and cleared Vachon out of the ring. Vachon grabbed a microphone and challenged Madusa and Robin to a tag team match next week. Vachon accepted and said she's have another Japanese import as her partner next week.

In the back, Koko B. Ware was talking to LCW General Manager Ole Anderson when the Honky Tonk Man appeared and blasted Ware with his guitar. Honky Tonk Man looked at Anderson and said, "I want a rematch next week with Koko B. Ware." Anderson looked at the fallen Ware and then looked at Honky Tonk Man and said, "You've got it." Honky Tonk Man walked away and Anderson called for help for Ware.

Big Van Vader (with Harley Race) and Dr. Death Steve Williams (with Cowboy Bill Watts) defeated LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and LCW International Superstar Billy Graham by pinfall when Vader pinned Austin after a powerbomb after Harley Race blasted Austin with a steel chair while Graham and Williams brawled on the floor.
