LCW Showdown Television Results 12.12.07

LCW Showdown Television Results (December 12, 2007) live from the iPayOne Center in San Diego, CA.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown.

Baby Doll came out for the "Doll House" interview segment. An elaborate doll house set had been erected in the ring and Baby Doll introduced her guest Kimberly Page. Baby Doll said, "I don't really give a damn about anything you have to say. I just wanted to get you in the ring so I could kick your ass." Baby Doll then pounced on Kimberly and the two women began to brawl with each other. Tully Blanchard came out and grabbed Baby Doll by the hair and yelled at her before throwing her out of the ring. Kimberly stood in the ring as Blanchard destroyed the "Doll House" set. LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page came out and went to hit Blanchard with the Diamond Cutter, but Blanchard slipped out and left ringside with Kimberly as Page went outside the ring to check on Baby Doll.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko reviewed footage from last week's LCW Showdown of The Killer Bees winning a ten-team tag team battle royal, by last eliminating The Midnight Express, to become the number one contenders for the LCW United States Tag Team Championship at the LCW Endgame pay-per-view in two weeks. In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed The Killer Bees who said they were ready to face The Sheepherders at LCW Endgame and they were ready to become the LCW United States Tag Team Champions. The Midnight Express appeared and challenged The Killer Bees and Dennis Condrey suggested that The Killer Bees put the title shot on the line. The Killer Bees agreed and interim Chairman of the Board Nick Bockwinkel appeared and said, "If all parties are in agreement, the match will take place next."

The Killer Bees defeated The Midnight Express in 5:37 by disqualification in a match for the number one contendership for the LCW United States Tag Team Championships after the LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Sheepherders interfered and attacked The Killer Bees in front of the referee. After the match, Dennis Condrey grabbed a microphone and challenged The Sheepherders to a match next week on Showdown saying that The Sheepherders interfered because they didn't want to face the Midnight Express. Interim Chairman of the Board Nick Bockwinkel came out and made the match official for next week's LCW Showdown.

On the LegendsTron, former LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway sat down with Mean Gene Okerlund for a pre-recorded, in-depth, emotional interview. Okerlund asked Calaway about being shot by The Iron Sheik and Calaway said, "I think everything that needs to be said about that incident has already been said. What I did to The Iron Sheik in the months prior to that incident was wrong, the way I handled the situation was wrong, unprofessional. He's a troubled man right now whether he knows it or not, but what I did to him in the months leading to that incident didn't help him and, let's be honest, I'm responsible for that incident even happening. I brought what happened to me on myself. I really believe it was meant to be, it was meant to happen, it was fate. Because if it hadn't happened, it wouldn't have been the wake up call that I needed and it did change me, Gene. It changed me. I died twice on the operating table as they tried to extract the two bullets from me. There is still a bullet inside me, only three centimeters from my heart. Doctors have told me that a sudden impact could move the bullet into my heart and could end my life, so that weighs heavy on my heart everyday, no pun intended. But that entire incident made me a different person. It made me the person that I used to be before Legends Championship Wrestling and the power that came with being the LCW Chairman of the Board went to my head. They say absolute power corrupts absolutely and there's no doubt about it, Gene: I was absolutely corrupted…"

LCW World Tag Team Champions Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson (with Slick) defeated Kamala and Abdullah the Butcher (with Gary Hart) in 7:52 by pinfall when Atlas pinned Kamala after a gorilla press slam. After the match, the Wild Samoans appeared and attacked both teams, knocking them out of the ring before grabbing the LCW World Tag Team Championships that Atlas and Johnson dropped in the ring. The Wild Samoans looked at the titles as Slick, Atlas, and Johnson demanded that the referee get the titles back, but the referee was powerless to do anything. Slick threw the referee into the ring and Afa grabbed the referee and hit him with the Samoan Drop before throwing the titles on the mat and leaving the ring through the crowd.

On the LegendsTron, former LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway's pre-recorded, sit-down interview with Mean Gene Okerlund continued and Okerlund asked about the Entourage and Calaway said, "The Entourage was the physical embodiment of my corruption, the corruption that I spoke of earlier. The things I had Nikita Koloff, and Superstar Billy Graham, and Tully Blanchard, and even Baby Doll do, the things I did for them simply because I was in a position to do so, the things that happened during the past year with the Entourage were done because I was corrupted by my own power and I've apologized for that and I'll apologize again and I'll be sorry for what I did during that time for the rest of my days..."

The Rock 'n' Roll Express (with Lady Amazon) defeated The Bolsheviks (with Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie) in 3:02 by pinfall when Robert Gibson pinned Boris Zhukov after the missile dropkick. During the match, Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie tried to interfere in the match, but Lady Amazon grabbed him and pulled him off the ring apron and kicked him in the head several times on the floor. During the match, Paul Jones came out with The Powers of Pain to watch the match from the entrance stage. After the match, from the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone questioned, "But what were The Powers of Pain and Paul Jones doing out here? What interest could they have had in this match?" Larry Zbyszko suggested, "Maybe they see The Rock 'n' Roll Express as a threat to their standing in the tag team ranks here in Legends Championship Wrestling. They are back, they have new management, new focus and so far everything is working for them. So far they're undefeated and you've got to believe that's putting them in position for a title shot down the line."

On the LegendsTron, former LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway's pre-recorded, sit-down interview with Mean Gene Okerlund continued and Okerlund asked about LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and Calaway said, "When Austin first arrived in Legends Championship Wrestling, well, first of all he was Stunning Steve Austin, a clean-cut, excellent mat technician. He was respectable and defiantly championship material. And then there was that hair vs. hair match with Magnum TA at the Breaking Point pay-per-view in 2006 and it was a breaking point for Austin after he lost that match and after he lost the LCW Television Championship to Magnum because something snapped in Ausitn and he reverted back to this 'Stone Cold' character and I saw instantly something that I didn't like and someone that I didn't want in Legends Championship Wrestling and someone that I knew I didn't want as the LCW Universal Champion. A year later, my worst nightmare came true when Austin won the title from Nikita Koloff at the LCW Decent pay-per-view. With all the confusion that took place in that match, I had no choice, or at least at the time I thought I had no choice, but to fire Austin and strip him of the title and I gave the title back to Nikita Koloff, which, at the time, seemed like the right decision to make. Now, I'm not trying to excuse what I did, but I did do one right thing during that time and that was at least acknowledge that Austin had won the title that night because, much to my chagrin, he had, but at the time I didn't think he deserved to be the LCW Universal Champion and I didn't want him in LCW and that's why he was released from his contract. However, Austin returned to LCW after appearing in the WWE at WrestleMania 23 and, Gene, this is a really important point, again, not excusing the fallout of this and not saying that I didn't deserve it because when Austin was gone I did make some negative comments about his appearing in LCW again and some…let's just say less that favorable comments about his movie 'The Condemned', but when Austin returned he targeted me, he attacked me. He could have been the bigger man and he could have let what I said about him and his movie go, but he attacked me. Again, not excusing what happened in the weeks and months after his return…"

In the back, Dark Journey was with LCW Heritage Champion Butch Reed and was laughing and flirting with Reed until Koko B. Ware appeared and asked what was going on. A nervous Reed said they were just talking about Ware said, "That my girl, man." Reed said, "I know, brother. Don't worry man. We were just talking. Nothing else is going on." Reed extended his hand and said, "Bros before hos, man. Bros before hos." Ware was suspicious, but shook Reed's hand before leaving with Dark Journey.

Koko B. Ware (with Slick and Dark Journey) defeated Ivan Putski in 4:55 by pinfall after the Birdbuster.

On the LegendsTron, former LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway's pre-recorded, sit-down interview with Mean Gene Okerlund continued and Okerlund said, "Let's move on now to the LCW Night of Horrors pay-per-view, only two months ago. Before the pay-per-view, before Austin stepped into the ring with then-LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff, you said that if Austin, since he couldn't forgive, since he couldn't forget all of the things that had happened in the months prior to your being shot by the Iron Sheik, you said that if Austin won the match, if he won the title, you would resign as LCW Chairman of the Board. This was a shocking announcement to not only the fans, but to all of us in LCW. But what was even more shocking than that was what you did during the match: leaving your wheelchair and climbing into the ring as Austin was making his way up the ladder and, instead of pushing over the ladder, potentially sparing Nikita Koloff from having to lose the title, but more importantly sparing your position as Chairman of the Board, instead of pushing over the ladder, you looked at Austin for a moment and simply walked away, sacrificing your position as Chairman of the Board and allowing Austin, a man you said you felt didn't deserve to be LCW Universal Champion, to become just that. What was going through your mind at that time?" Calaway said, "You know Gene, after LCW Night of Horrors, everyone wanted to know why I did what I did. Everyone wanted to know why I would help Austin win at the cost of my position as Chairman of the Board and it was really personal between me and Austin whether Austin knows it or not. I wanted to show Austin, and the world at the same time, that I had changed. And I'll be honest, Gene, I thought about it for a second. I thought about pushing over the ladder, helping Nikita up the ladder and then everything could have been the way it was with me as the Chairman of the Board and the Entourage as the most powerful, dominant force in professional wrestling, but I knew it would never be like that again and I knew in that instant that I really had change and I knew what I had to do. I had to prove to Austin and the world that I had changed and I walked out of the ring and allowed Austin to continue climbing the ladder and to retrieve the LCW Universal Championship. And I'm nothing else if not a man of my word, I said I would leave Legends Championship Wrestling, I said I would resign as Chairman of the Board if Austin won and he did so I kept my word…"

Stan Hansen defeated Ron Garvin 3:19 by pinfall after the Lariat clothesline. After the match, Hansen asked Madusa Micellli to join him in the ring. A confused Madusa made her way down to ringside and got into the ring. Hansen said, "I asked you last week and I'm going to asked you again: since Lex Luger is on the shelf, I'd like to have you in my corner, sweetheart? What'd you say, darling?" Madusa laughed and said, "First of all, my name is Madusa. Not, sweetheart, not honey, and not darling." Madusa refused again and Hansen grabbed her by the arm. She slapped him and hit him with a few hard right hands. He finally released her and she kicked him in the head and Hansen fell to his knees. Madusa went to hit him with another kick, but he grabbed her by the leg and threw her down to the mat. Hansen got back to his feet and started yelling at Madusa, but Superstar Billy Graham came out and hit Hansen with several right hands before clotheslining him over the rope and down to the floor. Graham challenged Hansen to get back in the ring, but Hansen just walked away as Graham helped Madusa to her feet.

In the back, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff were talking about facing LCW International Champion Don Muraco and Mr. Fuji tonight. Piper said he wanted to make sure that Orndorff wasn't going to use this as an opportunity to upstage him since he's the number one contender for the LCW International Championship. Orndorff said he was only concerned with getting his hands on Mr. Fuji who had cost him the LCW International Championship on two separate occasions. Orndorff said if it wasn't for Fuji, Piper would be facing him instead of Muraco at the LCW Endgame in two weeks for the LCW International Championship. Piper said that might be the case, but he wanted to make sure that Orndorff's focus was in the right direction tonight. Orndorff said he was only concerned with winning the match and getting his hands on Fuji. Piper and Orndorff shook hands and left the locker room together.

Rowdy Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff defeated LCW International Champion Don Muraco and Mr. Fuji when Piper pinned Muraco after a piledriver from Orndorff. Before Piper pinned Muraco after Orndorff hit him with the piledriver, Fuji was going to throw salt in Piper's eyes, but Orndorff kicked Fuji and the salt went into Fuji's eyes and Orndorff kicked him out of the ring as Piper pinned Muraco for the win.

On the LegendsTron, former LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway's pre-recorded, sit-down interview with Mean Gene Okerlund continued and Okerlund asked Calaway about hiring Randy Savage as the masked man to attack LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin. Calaway said, "I hired Savage before I was shot by the Iron Sheik and I knew then it was a mistake, but at the time I was so intent on eliminating Austin from my life. I took advantage of Savage at his most vulnerable, at his most desperate, after he lost Sherri Martel, when he felt he didn't have anything else in the world to cling to, I gave him reason. I knew I was dealing with a loose cannon that was ready to explode and I wanted to focus that explosion on Austin and I did and I am sorry for that now…"

Dr. Death Steve Williams (with Cowboy Bill Watts) defeated Hillbilly Jim in 6:10 by pinfall after the Oklahoma Stampede. After the match, Williams went to hit Jim with another Oklahoma Stampede, but Billy Jack Haynes came out and brawled with Williams, knocking him out of the ring for a moment. As Haynes checked on the fallen Hillbilly Jim, Cowboy Bill Watts got into the ring with a steel chair and hit Haynes with the chair. Williams then grabbed Haynes and hit him with the Oklahoma Stampede before leaving the ring with Watts.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Randy Savage, who was with his brother The Genius Lanny Poffo and his bodyguard Sheamus O'Shaunessy, in his locker room. Savage said he and O'Shaunessy were the Madness and the Curse that would be the end of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Savage said he would make good on his promise to become the LCW Universal Champion again at the LCW Endgame pay-per-view in two weeks. Savage said he had a match tonight against Wildfire Tommy Rich, but he wasn't going to step foot in the ring until he had assurance from interim Chairman of the Board Nick Bockwinkel that Austin wouldn't interfere.

On the LegendsTron, former LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway's pre-recorded, sit-down interview with Mean Gene Okerlund continued and Okerlund asked Calaway about his professional relationship with Baby Doll and Calaway got quiet and sincerely said, "You know, Gene, Nickla's always been an emotional topic for me. She was with me in my office the night that The Iron Sheik took us hostage and I can honestly say that I was more worried about her safety than my own during that time. And if she hadn't of acted when she did, the way she did, I might have ended up more than just shot. She acted out of instinct during a momentary distraction to wrestle the gun away from The Iron Sheik and even though the gun ended up inadvertently going off twice and shooting me in the ensuing struggle over the gun, I really believe that I owe the fact that I'm here today to her. Because if she hadn't of gotten the gun away from him, he might of shot her and I both and the outcome might not have been so good for either of us. When I started to form the Entourage, everything came together and fell into place to bring Tully Blanchard and Baby Doll into the Entourage. I trusted Tully, knew that I could trust Nickla, and that was important at that time, knowing that I could trust them. While Tully was an integral part of the Entourage's success, being the sound ring tactician that he is, without Nickla, I don't know that I would have survived some of the more very difficult times that occurred during those months. I know now that it was wrong, as I knew then in my heart of hearts that it was wrong, but giving her the reinstated LCW Women's Championship, handing her the title, was my way of thanking her for being there for me during those difficult times and for coming back to the Entourage. Remember, Gene, that was during all that drama between her and Tully and her ex-husband Sam Houston. So it was important for me at the time to not only honor her for being there for me, but for coming back into the fold, for coming back where she belonged, and for showing her loyalty to not only me but the Entourage as well. There were a lot of good times, don't get me wrong, but I knew deep inside, as I said earlier, that what I was doing with the Entourage was wrong, but I was blinded and corrupted by my own power." Calaway paused, smiled, and said, "And of course, Gene, having a beautiful woman by my side encouraging me every step of the way didn't help to dissuade me of my, at times, horrific actions. Needless to say, Nickla's been a valued friend, a trusted adviser, and a constant inspiration. She will always the Perfect 10…"

LCW Heritage Champion Butch Reed and Iceman King Parsons (with Slick) defeated LCW Television Champion Manny Fernandez and Jake Roberts in 7:15 by pinfall when Parsons pinned Fernandez after the Butt Bump. On the LegendsTron, former LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway's pre-recorded, sit-down interview with Mean Gene Okerlund continued and Okerlund asked Calaway about his future and the new LCW Chairman of the Board, "You know, Gene, I can get my company back. I can return and, mark my words, I will return. I will get my company back. This is my company. I started Legends Championship Wrestling with nothing, with no one's support, with no one's help and I've made it into what it is today. However, until I can find a way to return and a way to get my company back, I know that it will be safe in the hands of the Board of Directors and the new LCW Chairman of the Board. Nick Bockwinkel has done a great job as the interim Chairman of the Board as he always has as the Commissioner, but it's a big job and Bockwinkel is better tasked with the role of Commissioner. I've requested that the Board of Directors allow me time to find a suitable replacement, a worthy successor, and thankfully they've grated me this request. At the LCW Endgame pay-per-view in two weeks, I will announce my selection for the new LCW Chairman of the Board." Okerlund asked if Calaway had spoken with Austin since the LCW Night of Horrors pay-per-view and Calaway said he had not, but he looked forward to the day the two could stand in the middle of the ring like gentlemen and settle their differences once and for all.

Wildfire Tommy Rich came out for his match with Randy Savage, but when Savage's entrance theme played, no one came out. Interim Chairman of the Board Nick Bockwinkel came out and said that Stone Cold Steve Austin had been banned from ringside and if he interfered Bockwinkel would strip him of the title if he interfered. Satisfied with the arrangement, Savage finally came out to start the match.

Macho Man Randy Savage defeated Wildfire Tommy Rich in 6:19 by pinfall after the flying elbow smash in a match in which LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin was banned from ringside. However, during the match, Austin appeared on the LegendsTron and said, "Savage, you dumb son of a bitch, Bockwinkel said I couldn't interfere in the match, but he didn't say a damn thing about kicking your bodyguard's and your brother's ass." Rich caught Savage with a small package that Savage kicked out of and then Savage assaulted Rich before throwing him out of the ring and turning his attention back to Austin on the LegendsTron as Austin kicked in Savage's locker room door and blasted O'Shaunessy and Poffo with separate chair shots. Austin blasted Poffo with several right hands as Savage continued wrestling Rich. Austin hit O'Shaunessy with the Stone Cold Stunner as Savage hit Rich with the flying elbow smash for the pinfall and the win. Savage left ringside and went to the back. Savage continued making his way through the arena corridor and just as he was about to reach his locker room, Savage turned a corner and Austin blasted him with a steel chair. Austin stared at Savage for a moment before walking away as the show went off the air.
