LCW Showdown Television Results 08.22.07

LCW Showdown Television Results (August 22, 2007) live from the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, AZ.

In the back, a limousine arrived and Hulk Hogan and Bobby Heenan got out of the limousine and Sean Mooney appeared. Hogan said that tonight was a night for celebration after he defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view last Sunday in a Hell in a Cell steel cage match. As Hogan walked away he had a noticeable limp after falling through the roof of the Hell in a Cell cage.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown and reviewed the results from the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view last Sunday. If you missed the show, click here or visit click here for the complete results.

LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway came out with the rest of the Entourage, LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff, LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham, LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard, and LCW Women's Champion Baby Doll, and talked about the Entourage losing the WarGames match at LCW Caged Heat last Sunday. Calaway was holding his ribs and said he was in pain, but he was still the Chairman of the Board since he wasn't pinned in the WarGames match. Calaway talked about eliminating Harley Race and Jesse Ventura, a thorn in his side he had forgotten about, taking Race's place. The audience exploded when Calaway said Ventura's name and Calaway announced that Ventura would be suspended indefinitely because he hit Calaway with the Body Breaker and bruised his ribs, "…but I think we all know he tried to break my ribs." The audience exploded, but started to boo again when Calaway reminded them he was still suspended. Several members of the LCW Board of Directors, Bruno Sammartino, Pedro Morales, and Verne Gagne came out. Gagne said Jesse Ventura would not be suspended because it was a legally sanctioned match, Ventura was a legal participant, even though he was a substitute, and the contract that Calaway signed excused Legends Championship Wrestling and the legends in the match from any liability. Gagne overturned the suspension. Bruno Sammartino showed footage on the LegendsTron of Magnum TA pinning Tully Blanchard in the WarGames match at LCW Caged Heat and announced that Blanchard would defend his LCW Heritage Championship against Magnum TA tonight. Pedro Morales then announced that Paul Orndorff, who defeated Lex Luger and Madusa Micelli in a handicap, steel cage match to become the number one contender for the LCW International Championship would get his title shot against Superstar Billy Graham tonight. The audience exploded as Gagne, Sammartino, and Morales left as Calaway and the rest of the Entourage reacted to the announced matches.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham and LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard complained to LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway in his office about having to defend their titles tonight. Calaway said there wasn't anything he could do about it because the Board of Directors voted for these matches and the decision was final. Graham said he thought Calaway had power in LCW, he thought he was the boss and Calaway got in Graham's face and asked if he was questioning his authority and Graham said he wasn't, he just thought Calaway was the boss. Calaway said he has a vote, but the Board of Directors could outvote him, which they had done. Calaway said he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do, but was sure they would both be successful in their title defenses because they were members of the Entourage which meant they were the elite in Legends Championship Wrestling.

Koko B. Ware came out to an audience that booed loudly and chanted "Sellout" at him. Ware apologized for attacking Precious at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view last Sunday and asked the audience to forgive him for the mistakes he had made over the past few months. The audience continued to boo. Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin appeared and the audience responded with a mix of boos and cheers. Garvin said, "You violated my wife and you think an apology is going to make this go away. You've got another thing coming. You see, the difference between you and me is you care too much what these people think. I don't give a damn about you, or any of them." The entire audience booed Garvin as he continued, "I only care about two things, myself and my family and last Sunday night you hurt my family so tonight I'm going to hurt you." Garvin ran into the ring and the two men began to brawl until security officials came out and separated the two men.

Paul Orndorff defeated LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham in 8:42 by pinfall after the piledriver to win the LCW International Championship.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang who explained why they interfered in the Hell in a Cell steel cage match between Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin and cut the lock on the cage door match. Gang said they might not be Heenan Family members anymore as the Heenan Family has been disbanded so Heenan can focus on Hogan's career, but they would always have Heenan's back. LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway approached them and said, "I know you gentlemen want to focus on your singles career, but tonight, I need you two to do me a favor. The Killer Bees were given a simple task last Sunday night at LCW Caged Heat: defeat The Iron Sheik and Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie and they failed to do that so I'd like you to…kill some bees for me." Gang and Bundy smiled and Bundy said, "Whatever you need, boss."

In the back, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway sat with a dejected Superstar Billy Graham. Calaway said everything was going to be all right and he wasn’t worried. Graham said he just couldn't believe it. Calaway said he couldn't believe it either, that so many people had voted for him on LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com as the masked man who attacked Stone Cold Steve Austin last Sunday night at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view. Graham angrily stood up and said he was talking about losing his title. Calaway said, "I'm talking about potentially losing my life. If Austin thinks I attacked him, he'll kill me." Graham, in disbelief, angrily walked away as the self-obsessed Calaway said, "Superstar, where you going?"

Magnum TA defeated LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard (with LCW Women's Champion Baby Doll) in 6:02 by pinfall after the belly-to-belly suplex to win the LCW Heritage Championship. Towards the end of match, Baby Doll tried to interfere, but Magnum hit her with the belly-to-belly suplex before hitting Blanchard with the belly-to-belly suplex moments later for the pinfall and the win.

In the back, Hulk Hogan and Bobby Heenan were talking about his victory over Steve Austin and about who the masked man might have been. Hogan said, "The masked man didn't make a difference, I still would have won that match." Heenan said he couldn't believe Hogan survived falling though the Hell in a Cell steel cage roof. Hogan said his knees held out and he's going to walk out to the ring tonight and celebrate his victory over Austin. Hogan stood up and winced in pain and asked Heenan to go get him some ice for his knee. Heenan left and said he'd be right back. Heenan walked past Austin who he didn't see as he was hiding around a corner. Austin started to follow Heenan as the show went to commercial.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko talked about LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page's YRG For Regular Guys Workout and Schiavone said, "You know over the course of his career in wrestling, Diamond Dallas Page has broken a table or two, but check out DDP's new broken table from his YRG Workout. Let's take a look at the video."

In the back, LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page knocked on the office door of LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway who invited Page into his office. Calaway asked Page why there was so much YRG for Regular Guys promotion on Legends Championship Wrestling and Page said, "Yo monkey, maybe you should try YRG, you seem really stressed out, man. It'll calm you down, lower your blood pressure and cholesterol, help you lose some weight…" Calaway said, "Wait a minute, are you trying to say I'm fat or something?" Page said, "Well, come on monkey, let's be honest. You could afford to lose a pound or two, bro." Calaway looked shocked, then scoffed and said, "Let me ask you something: can you afford to lose your job?" Page said, "Look monkey, I'm just trying to help. I mean, I think YRG could really help you, or you could take that stick out of your ass and probably get the same effect." Calaway scoffed with shock at Page's audacity and stood up and said, "How about you get the hell out of my office and get your gear on because tonight you're facing LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff in a non-title match." Page laughed, shrugged his shoulders and said, "Whatever, bro."

Superfly Jimmy Snuka defeated The Iron Sheik (with Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie) in 3:09 by pinfall after the Superfly Splash. After the match, Jake Roberts appeared and hit The Iron Sheik with the DDT. Al-Kassie jumped into the ring and got in Roberts' face and Roberts hit him with the DDT as well. Roberts grabbed a microphone and got in The Iron Sheik's face and said, "I told you last Sunday night that together we would find the way and we will. You wanted to do things the hard way and that's fine with me, but I want you to know that this is the hard way. One way or another, together we will find the way." Roberts left the ring as a dazed The Iron Sheik made his way to his feet and started to help Al-Kassie to his feet.

In the back, Hulk Hogan was walking around the arena corridor, limping and wincing in pain at times, looking for Bobby Heenan, who he sent to get ice earlier, but hadn't been seen by Hogan since. Hogan grabbed LCW Showdown Producer Derrick LeRoux and told him to keep looking for Heenan and send him to the ring if he finds him. Hogan said he needed to go to the ring for his victory celebration.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Hulk Hogan came out to celebrate his victory over Stone Cold Steve Austin last Sunday at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view. Hogan made his way to the ring, limping and wincing from the pain in his knees from time to time after falling through the roof of the Hell in a Cell steel cage match against Austin. Hogan said he won the match and he was done with Austin because he proved last Sunday night that he was the better man. Hogan said he would never wrestle Austin again. A dazed and confused Bobby Heenan appeared on the LegendsTron tied to a steel chair. He was positioned under a shower in a dark locker room. Austin appeared and slapped Heenan several times across the face to wake him up. Heenan screamed into the gag and Austin yelled at him and told him to stop. Austin turned on the shower for several seconds, dousing Heenan with water. Austin said, "You know, Hogan, I've been watching the news a lot since the start of the war and I remember hearing about Saddam Hussein torturing people. He had all kinds of way of getting answers out of people. One method of torture that really stuck out to me involved a wet guy and a battery. I've got the wet guy and, look at that (pointing to the battery on the floor), there's a battery. And here are some battery cables. But you see, this can be really simple. We don't have to do this, but hearing what you just said I think we might have to. I know you have a lot of power in Legends Championship Wrestling. You had more creative control in LCW than you did in WCW. But Hogan, I want you to be creative and control what I do or don't do to Bobby Heenan here. But unlike Saddam Hussein, I only want to hear one answer out of you. I don't want to know where the spies are hiding or how long you've been working for the Americans. The only answer I want from you is, 'Yes, Mr. Austin, I'll give you a rematch'. Now, since your manager here is in no position to answer the challenge on your behalf, I'm going to need to hear it from you Hogan. I'm going to need to hear you say, 'Yes, Mr. Austin, I'll give you a rematch.'" Austin touched the battery cables together and they sparked and then he touched them to Heenan's chest for a second and Heenan screamed into the gag and shook in pain. Hogan said, "It's not going to happen. It's never going to happen, Austin." Austin touched the cables to Heenan's chest again and Heenan screamed shook in pain again. Hogan said, "All right, all right, stop it. You're going to kill him, you son of a bitch." Austin touched the cables to Heenan's chest a third time and Heenan screamed and shook in pain again. Hogan said, "Austin, stop it now. I said I'll give you the rematch. Stop it, brother. It's not funny anymore." Austin said, "I'm not laughing you son of a bitch. You're not in a position to be giving me orders, jack ass. I said I wanted to hear you say, 'Yes, Mr. Austin, I'll give you a rematch.'" Austin went to touch the cables to Heenan's chest again, but Hogan said, "All right, all right. Yes, Mr. Austin. I'll give you a rematch." Austin disconnected the battery cables from the battery and said, "See, that wasn't so hard now was it?" Austin untied Heenan and he dropped out of the chair and fell on the floor. Austin got closer to the camera and said, "Next week, Hogan, you're ass is mine. We're not going to wait until the next pay-per-view, because next week you are me are going to face each other one more time. And what I just did to Heenan with this battery is going to be nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you with my bare hands next week."

In his office, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway was sitting at his desk with his head in his hands. Superstar Billy Graham, Tully Blanchard, with LCW Women's Champion Baby Doll, and LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff came into the office. Calaway stood up and cleared the papers off his desk with one sweep, threw his desk lamp against the wall, and then pulled the phone out of the wall and threw it on the floor. Calaway screamed, "What the hell is going on around here?!" An irate Calaway yelled, "I've got Stone Cold Steve Austin torturing people. That could be me if he thinks I'm the masked man that attacked him and cost him the match at LCW Caged Heat last Sunday night and the fans aren’t helping. That could be me soon if fans don't stop voting for me as the masked man on LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com. It wasn’t me, but they all think it was and they're going to make Austin think it was me. We are one week from my birthday. Next week's Showdown was supposed to be a celebration of my life. A quarter of a century on this planet is behind me and instead of looking forward to the next three quarters, it's going to be a night of fixing mistakes. Everything is falling apart, but next week on Showdown, it's going to start coming together again. We're going to start with my trying to get you guys (referring to Graham and Blanchard) rematches from the Board of Directors so you can give me the greatest gifts possible and get your titles back." Calaway picked up his desk chair and threw it into the large screen TV in his office before saying, "We're going to fix this damn it. We have to fix this."

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff (with LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway) wrestled LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page to a no contest in 8:24 after Stone Cold Steve Austin came out and chased Calaway into the ring and hit Koloff with the Stone Cold Stunner when he tried to intercept Austin. Calaway grabbed a microphone as he ran from the ring and told Austin from the entrance ramp that he wasn't the masked man who attacked him during his Hell in a Cell steel cage match with Hulk Hogan at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view last Sunday. Calaway said, "It wasn't me, Austin. I said I wouldn't interfere in your business or get in your way until you won the LCW Universal Championship, not that that's actually ever going to happen, but I'm a man of my word damn it. I don't know who that was, but it wasn't me last Sunday night." Austin grabbed a microphone and said, "If I find out it was you, you son of a bitch…" Calaway interrupted, "Austin, I swear to god that it wasn't me. You attacked me last week on Showdown, but I knew that was more about Vince McMahon than it was about me so I forgave you and I let it go. I know how emotional Vince McMahon can make you. Honestly, I want nothing to do with you." Austin responded, "If I find out it was you, this is going to be the least of what you're going to have to deal with." Austin then hit Koloff with another Stunner as Koloff started to regain his senses and make his way to his feet. When Austin got back up and turned around, he was face to face to Diamond Dallas Page. The two men stared at each other for a moment before Page opted to leave the ring. As Page headed up the entrance ramp, Calaway and Austin exchanged verbal barbs and Page passed by Calaway. Page was to the curtain, but turned back around as Calaway was yelling at Austin and hit him with the Diamond Cutter on the entrance ramp. Page picked up the microphone and said, "Austin, you owe me another one," before dropping the microphone and leaving through the curtain. Austin walked up the entrance ramp and looked down at the fallen Calaway and said, "Next week, I'm going to give you a birthday gift you're never going to forget." Austin left through the curtain as Koloff made his way up the entrance ramp with a steel chair. Tully Blanchard, Baby Doll, and Superstar Billy Graham appeared and checked on the fallen Calaway as the show went off the air.
