LCW Showdown Television Results 08.08.07

LCW Showdown (August 8, 2007) live from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to a special three-hour episode of LCW Showdown. In the parking lot, several officers from the Chicago Police Department were shown wearing riot gear and Schiavone said they were waiting for the arrival of Stone Cold Steve Austin who wasn't allowed in the building until his main event non-title match tonight against LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff.

Lex Luger (with Madusa Micelli who was in a wheelchair) defeated Ron Garvin in 3:18 by pinfall after the piledriver after Madusa Micelli, who wasn't supposed to be able to walk, slid into the ring under the bottom rope while the referee was distracted and kicked Garvin in the back of the head and then slid out of the ring and got back in the wheelchair as if nothing happened. After the match, LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out and said, "Luger, Madusa, do you two think I'm blind? Do you think I'm not backstage watching everything on a monitor? Well, Madusa let me tell you something right now, you're going to be in that steel cage at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view on August 19th with Lex Luger when he faces Paul Orndorff because if you don't get in that cage with Luger, then the both of you will be fired!" Bockwinkel left as Luger and Madusa reacted with anger at Bockwinkel's announcement.

The Iron Sheik attended his second mandatory anger management class with his manager Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie. Sheik again complained about having to attend the classes, but Al-Kassie reminded him that if he didn't successfully complete the anger management classes he would be fired from Legends Championship Wrestling. Al-Kassie also told Sheik that he had heard that LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway was furious after The Iron Sheik's appearance on The Howard Stern Show last Thursday. As everyone was getting ready for the class, the therapist welcomed everyone to get coffee and doughnuts before they began. Sheik was waiting in line for his coffee when the guy in front of him turned around and spilled his coffee all over Sheik's jacket and shirt. Sheik began to berate the guy calling him a "stupid jabrini," but Al-Kassie managed to calm him down and the sat down to start the anger management class.

From his home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mean Gene Okerlund interviewed LCW World Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation. Jim Neidhart said he had suffered a concussion after being powerbombed through a table from the ring last week on LCW Showdown, but not as bad the concussion he suffered in November of 2006 when Sid Vicious powerbombed Neidhart on the cement floor backstage. Hart said Neidhart's doctor was worried that another concussion could end his career if not his life. Okerlund asked Neidhart if he thought the powerbomb should be banned in LCW. Neidhart said it was wrestling, not kindergarten and people were going to get hurt. Neidhart said, "Just like Sid Vicious is going to get hurt when I get my hands on him." Neidhart said he was ready to defend the LCW World Tag Team Championships against Demolition at LCW Caged Heat in two weeks, "…and when we're done with Demolition we're going to take down the Skyscrapers once and for all."

The Skyscrapers defeated Demolitiion in 6:38 by pinfall when Sid Vicious pinned Demolition Ax after the powerbomb. After the match, The Skyscrapers demanded to be number one contenders for the LCW World Tag Team Championships instead of Demolition. Demolition attacked The Skyscrapers knocking them out of the ring. The Skyscrapers tried to get back in the ring, but security officials held them back and kept them out of the ring. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out and said the LCW World Tag Team Championships would be defended by The Hart Foundation against Demolition, The Skyscrapers, and three other teams in the first ever tag team Elimination Chamber match. Bockwinkel announced that the three other teams would be determined by qualifying matches next week on LCW Showdown.

From an elegant restaurant in Chicago, LCW Heritage Champion Sam Houston and Baby Doll had dinner together. Houston ordered some champagne and poured some for Baby Doll and they toasted "old times." Baby Doll said, "Nothing's changing between us, Sam. We're still friends, we have two beautiful daughters together, and I'll always care about you, but…Tully Blanchard is and always will be my main priority." Houston said, "Why can't you just move on? I mean, he treats you like garbage sometimes. I would never do that." Baby Doll said, "He's just going through a difficult time right now ever since you came back into our lives." Houston said, "Listen, I'm the LCW Heritage Champion now. We could live the good life again. I could give you everything you've ever dreamed of." Baby Doll said, "That sounds nice, Sam, but it's just not realistic. Tully's going to get his title back and all this is going to settle down and I'm going to be back by his side again. He needs me, Sam." Houston said, "I need you." Baby Doll said, "Look, let's just try to enjoy the evening. I agreed to have dinner with you, all right?" Houston said, "I will, but I need to ask you one more thing. I'm sure that Blanchard is going to try and get a rematch against me at Caged Heat and I just wanted to know if you'd be in my corner?" Baby Doll said, "I don't know, Sam." Houston said, "Please, just consider it. Just come out to the ring with me and stand in my corner. With you by my side, I can't lose." Baby Doll relented and agreed, "All right, I will, but just this once, only this one time." Houston said, "That's all I need. Thank you." Houston kissed her hand and called to a waiter. A waiter appeared and asked them if they were ready to order and another waiter who was clearly wearing a wig and a fake mustache appeared and told the waiter to ask them about the wine list. The man with the wig and mustache then picked up the champagne bucket and blasted Houston over the head with it before laying into him with a series of punches and kicks to the midsection and head. As he kicked Houston, he began to take off his wig and mustache and revealed himself to be Tully Blanchard. Baby Doll tried to stop him, but he yelled at her to stay out of it. As Baby Doll screamed for him to stop, Blanchard picked Houston up and slammed his head into a nearby dessert cart. Blanchard looked at Baby Doll and yelled, "You did this. Is that what you wanted?" Baby Doll said, through tears, "No! Tully, stop it! Please stop it." Blanchard grabbed the LCW Heritage Championship and got in Houston's face which was smeared with frosting and crème from he dessert cart and said, " This is mine, you son of a bitch." He pointed at Baby Doll and said, "She is mine as well. And at Caged Heat, I'm going to get both of them back or die trying and if I happen to kill you in the process…oh, well. Good riddance of bad rubbish." Baby Doll tried to approach Blanchard, but he moved away and said, "Stay away from me." Before leaving the restaurant Blanchard turned around and whispered in Baby Doll's ear as she leaned to check on Houston, "You have a choice to make at Caged Heat, Baby Doll: me…or that (pointing to Houston). The choice is yours. Choose wisely." Blanchard left as Baby Doll cried and yelled for someone to call 911. A waiter approached and told Baby Doll an ambulance was on its way as Baby Doll told Houston to stay where he was because she was really worried he was really hurt.

LCW Television Champion Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) and Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin (with Precious) defeated Superfly Jimmy Snuka and Koko B. Ware in 5:18 by pinfall when DiBiase pinned Snuka after a kneelift to the back as Snuka watched Ware leaving the ring. Ware walked out on Snuka after the fans refused to stop chanting, "Sellout!" at Ware. After the match, Garvin and DiBiase attacked Snuka, but Ware returned to ringside, grabbed a steel chair, and cleared the ring of DiBiase and Garvin.

In the back, Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived in his black pickup truck and tried to get out, but the Chicago police officers told him that they had been ordered to make sure he stays in his truck until the main event.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway approached Stone Cold Steve Austin's black pickup truck and began to berate Austin. Calaway said, "Where's that can of whoop ass I heard about, Steve?" Austin said, "Call off the guards and I'll show you." Calaway said, "See, this is exactly why you're never going to be the LCW Universal Champion. You are disrespectful white trash. These aren’t just any security guards. These are respected officers of the Chicago Police Department." Austin says, "Later tonight, they are going to step aside and I'm going to kick Nikita Koloff's ass and then open up that can of whoop ass that I promised you." Calaway said, as he walked away, "Yeah, we'll see about that." Calaway turned and said to the police officers, "You make sure that he doesn't leave that truck until I say it's time."

In the back, LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel approached Big Van Vader and Harley Race as they were making their way to the ring for Vader's WarGames qualifying match against The Honky Tonk Man. Bockwinkel said, "I hate the be the bearer of bad news, but Harley, you're going to have to sit this one out. LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway has demanded that Vader has to go to the ring alone or forfeit his spot in the WarGames match." Race said it was all right and said it would give him an opportunity to prepare for his match later tonight against Baron Von Raschke.

Big Van Vader defeated The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) in 3:17 by pinfall after the powerbomb in a WarGames qualifying match.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane) with their new manager Dennis Condrey, who debuted at LCW Beach Brawl after The Midnight Express lost a number one contenders match to Strike Force. Condrey said, "Tonight, the Midnight Express starts on a new direction and with me as their manager there isn't anything that can go wrong. Next week, The Midnight Express will be facing The Killer Bees in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. I hate bees and I'm bringing a can of Raid. I can guarantee that Eaton and Lane are going to kill the Killer Bees and then go on to the Elimination Chamber at LCW Caged Heat and win the LCW World Tag Team Championships." Terry and Dory Funk, Jr., passed by them and Terry Funk said, "Next week on LCW Showdown, we're facing some old friends of yours, the Rock 'n' Roll Express, in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match and then we're going on to the win the LCW World Tag Team Championships at Caged Heat. As for that can of Raid, well I think you know where you can stick that, Condrey." Condrey responded, "What the hell are you talking about? I thought you two had a little falling out last week. I know I wouldn't talk to my brother if he bashed me over the head with a branding iron." Dory Funk, Jr., said, "We've already talked about that. It was a misunderstanding and a mistake and it's not going to happen again. We're back on track, we're focused, and we only want one thing, the LCW World Tag Team Championships. As for tonight, we've got a match against the Killer Bees. We'll be sure to soften them up so you can actually beat them next week on Showdown and then we'll see you at Caged Heat." Condrey sarcastically wished them luck and Terry Funk warned him to stay out of their business.

The Killer Bees defeated The Funks in 2:48 by pinfall when Brian Blair pinned Dory Funk, Jr., after a double dropkick. After the match, as the Killer Bees celebrated in the entrance way and made their way to the back, Terry Funk yelled at Dory Funk, Jr., about losing the match. Moments later, in the back, the Midnight Express attacked the Killer Bees after Dennis Condrey sprayed Raid in their eyes as they were making their way through the curtain. Medical officials rushed to aid the Killer Bees as security officials pulled the Midnight Express off of the Killer Bees.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko talked about Diamond Dallas Page's YRG For Regular Guys and Schiavone said it had even helped former WCW announcer and current voice of Tony the Tiger, Lee Marshall. Schiavone said, "Let's take a look at the video."

In the back, Scott Hall was laughing at Diamond Dallas Page saying, "Yoga? Yoga!? Page, come on. You're a normal guy. You're a regular guy. Well, at least I thought you were." Page responded, "Whatever, bro. You want to know why I'm the LCW United States Champion? You want to know why I'm going to be the LCW Universal Champion soon? It's because of YRG, bro! It's more than just Yoga for Regular Guys, regular guys like you and me and the millions and millions of wrestling fans out there. When I got hurt back in '98 in a match with your old buddy Kevin Nash, I started incorporating YRG into my training during my recovery and I've never looked back because I've never been better. And with YRG, I've never felt better, stronger, more flexible, faster, or healthier than I do today and it's all because of YRG. Bro, you and I have been through some wars both against each other and together, but I promise you, after just one YRG workout, you're definitely going to…" Hall interrupted him and said mockingly, "Let me guess, feel the bang!?' Page, "Hey mock me if you want, bro, but I challenge you to keep up with me during a YRG workout!" Hall asked, "You're challenging me?" Page said, "Bro, I'm challenging you. How about something simple? Next week, you and me will compete in a 10-second pushup challenge." Hall laughed and said, "What the hell do pushups have to do with yoga?" Page said, "Hall, YRG is more than just downward facing dog and the locust position. YRG is a complete workout and next week, I'm giving you lesson number one. We'll see if you can hang with DDP and YRG!" Hall laughed and said, "Yeah, I guess we'll have to wait until next week and see." Page laughed and slapped Hall on the back and said, "Good luck tonight against Dr. Death and his little downward facing dog Cowboy Bill Watts. You know I've got your back, if you need me, bro." Hall laughed and said, "Hey, you know if I win this match tonight, I'm going to be the number one contender for that title (pointing to the LCW United States Championship) and I guess we'll really see then if YRG has really made you any better." Page laughed and said, "Whatever, bro. Get through Dr. Death and we'll do some business." Page left the locker room as Hall continued to stretch.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Scott Hall defeated Dr. Death Steve Williams (with Cowboy Bill Watts) in 4:22 by pinfall after the Outsiders' Edge in a number one contenders match for the LCW United States Championship. After the match, Watts got into the ring and tried to attack Hall, but Hall gained the upper hand and had Watts up in position for the Outsiders' Edge, but Williams attacked Hall and Hall dropped Watts before he could hit him with the Outsiders' Edge. Williams and Watts attacked Hall until LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page appeared with a steel chair and cleared Williams and Watts out of the ring and helped Hall to his feet.

In the parking lot, Stone Cold Steve Austin got out of his black pickup truck and tried to break through the riot squad. Austin got in several of the officers faces and asked if they were going to move, but they remained in position. Suddenly, a member of the riot squad attacked him with a nightstick. The member of the riot squad took off his protective face mask and revealed himself to be Hulk Hogan. The riot squad members moved to protect Austin, but Hogan laughed, threw down the nightstick, and walked away.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko discussed Randy Savage's absence from Legends Championship Wrestling and Schiavone said, "We have LCW Board of Directors member Bruno Sammartino on the phone. Mr. Sammartino, are you there?" Sammartino responded, "I am Tony, thank you. Unfortunately, as you know, Randy Savage is missing and has been missing for well over 30 days. We know he's alive. He's been sighted and he's been in touch with friends and family members, but he hasn't checked in with LCW officials and repeated attempts to reach him have been unsuccessful. Therefore, the Board of Directors has no choice but to release Randy Savage from his contract effective immediately." A shocked Schiavone said, "I just can't believe it's come to this. Randy Savage has been released from his contract!"

In the back, medical officials tended to Stone Cold Steve Austin after he was attacked by a nightstick wielding Hulk Hogan. Austin yelled at the medical official to tape up his ribs as the medical official warned him he shouldn't wrestle Nikita Koloff tonight. Austin said he was going to beat Koloff and then kick Hogan's ass.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In a pre-recorded interview segment, Sean Mooney interviewed Paul Orndorff who mocked Madusa Micelli, wearing a blond wig and a neck brace and pretending to cry. Orndorff then appeared as Lex Luger with a muscle suit on and he kept saying things like, "I'm with stupid. No, wait, I mean, I'm stupid," and "I don't know how to wrestle," every time Mooney asked him a question. Ordorff then ripped off the muscle suit and said, "You know what Luger, I really hope you guys don't show up so I can be rid of you two once and for all, but if you do know that I'm still going to be rid of you two because I'm going to finish the job that I started and break Madusa's neck and then, Luger, I'm going to break your back."

Harley Race defeated Baron Von Raschke in 5:01 by pinfall after the piledriver in the WarGames qualifying match.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Stone Cold Steve Austin, with his ribs taped up after being attacked by Hulk Hogan earlier in the evening, defeated LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff in 9:51 in a non-title match by disqualification after Hulk Hogan interfered and attacked Austin. Hogan attacked Austin, but Austin managed to fight him off and almost hit him with the Stone Cold Stunner, but Hogan slipped out of the ring and made his way up the entrance ramp with Nikita Koloff. On the entrance stage, they were joined by Bobby Heenan and LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway. Austin grabbed a microphone and said, "Calaway, I said I was going to open the biggest can of whoop ass you've ever seen tonight and drown you in it. What I didn't tell you was that this can of whoop ass is of the liquid variety and you're literally going to drown in it. Actually, you're all going to drown in it." Austin signaled to someone outside the ring and ton of liquid fell from the rafters and drenched Calaway, Koloff, Hogan, and Heenan. The four men stumbled and lost their footing, falling on the entrance ramp and Heenan almost fell down the ramp, but Hogan saved him in time. The liquid was identified as beer and Schiavone and Zbyszko laughed and Schiavone said "Forget about the beer bash and the blood bath, that's a beer bath!"

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko reminded everyone that next week on LCW Showdown Diamond Dallas Page and Scott Hall would compete in the YRG 10-second pushup challenge and Schiavone said, "For an example of the YRG 10-second pushup challenge, let's take a look at Diamond Dallas Page getting beat in the 10-second pushup challenge by a 71 year old man! Will DDP suffer the same defeat at the hands of his friend Scott Hall in the middle of the ring next week on LCW Showdown? Join us next week to find out only on LCW Showdown. Goodnight, everyone. See you next week."

I love reading this and I am getting some money together to make a donation. You should have it where Scott Hall turns on DDP and reveals he was a hired gun of Bill Watts. DDP reveals he knew it and had someone watching his back, Shane Douglas.

I'd say write me in it opposing Christian Callaway, but what would a guy who dances for the Bulls do? I have ideas, LOL.
