LCW Showdown Television Results 08.01.07
LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway came out with LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff and LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham, and Tully Blanchard and said, "Last Sunday night at LCW Beach Brawl, I announced the main event for the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view on Sunday, August 19th: a Hell in a Cell steel cage match between Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin." The audience exploded with approval. Calaway continued, "However, I neglected to announce the second main event for the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view. It's been 20 years since the first WarGames match took place at the Great American Bash in the NWA and the WarGames steel cage match has been a tradition at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view events and this year will be no different. This year, the Entourage will step into the double cage to face four people who have consistently been thorns in my side, four people who have been pains in my ass since the Entourage was conceived. Those four men are Big Van Vader, his manager Harley Race, Jack Brisco, and Magnum TA." The audience exploded again and Calaway continued, "They will face the Entourage, the most elite group of wrestler in sports entertainment and professional wrestling today: LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff, LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham, and…former LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard." Calaway sounded disappointed as he announced Blanchard's name and status as a former champion. Blanchard just looked sullen and depressed. Calaway continued "And they will be joined by a man so powerful, so dominant, so great that the two rings in the WarGames match might not be enough to contain his amount of…well, to put it succinctly, his amount of awesomenocity. It's a word. Look it up. And if you don't find it, get a new dictionary. This man has beaten the great media mogul Ted Turner, he's beaten ECW founder Paul Heyman, he's beaten WCW and nWo's own Eric Bischoff, he's even beaten the Terminator and the Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and, let's not forget that he recently sent 'The Great One', 'The People's Champion' The Rock back to Hollywood. That man is, well…it's me of course, the LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway." Calaway, Koloff, and Graham all laughed while Blanchard continued looking sullen and depressed. Calaway looked at Blanchard and said, "Dude, what's your problem?" Blanchard said nothing was wrong and apologized. Calaway said, "No, man, you're bringing the rest of us down. If you don't want to be here, you can leave. I know you lost your title and I know you lost Baby Doll, really your fault and you're problem, but moping around here like a sad, pathetic loser isn't going to get her or your title back. So, I'm going to do you a favor. Tonight, you're going to wrestle…Superfly Jimmy Snuka. How does that sound?" Blanchard said it sounded good. Calaway got in Blanchard's face and said more aggressively, "How does that sound?" Blanchard said, with a little more enthusiasm, it sounded great. Calaway slapped Blanchard and his head snapped up and he made eye contact with Calaway. Calaway said, "How does that sound?" Blanchard said, "It sounds like I'm going to kick Superfly Jimmy Snuka's ass tonight." Calaway said, "Now that's what I'm talking about." Calaway continued, "And you know what, that's why I'm convinced. I'm so convinced that the Entourage will be successful that I'll even put my career on the line at LCW Caged Heat. If I'm pinned by any member of thorns in my side; if Vader can pin me, if Race can pin me, if Brisco can pin me, or if Magnum TA can pin me, I will resign as Chairman of the Board." Calaway went to walk away and said, "Oh yeah, there is this little thing though: there will be four matches over the next three weeks. Each thorn in my side will have to face an opponent of my choosing. If they win, they will earn their spot in the WarGames steel cage match, but if they lose, the winner will take their place and I'm going to give the winner the night off, paid night off. So if they don't win their qualifying match, I'm giving the spot to the winner, giving the winner the night off, and the WarGames match is going to start looking more and more like a handicap match. Hell, we might just get the night off if none of them manage to win their qualifying matches. Vader, Race, Brisco, Magnum, I wish you gentlemen the best of luck and hopefully we'll be seeing you at LCW Caged Heat because I am really looking forward to removing the thorns in my side once and for all." Calaway dropped the microphone and walked away with Koloff, Graham, and Blanchard.
From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown and reviewed what happened at the LCW Beach Brawl pay-per-view last Sunday including Hulk Hogan interfering and attacking Steve Austin during the main event tag team match with Big Van Vader against Nikita Koloff and Superstar Billy Graham. Schiavone and Zbyszko discussed LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway announcing the Austin vs. Hogan II Hell in a Cell steel cage match for the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view on Sunday, August 19th. Schiavone announced that Calaway would announce another big match for the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view card tonight. Schiavone and Zbyszko then reviewed footage of Koko B. Ware laying down so Ted DiBiase could pin him and regain the LCW Television Championship at the LCW Beach Brawl pay-per-view last Sunday. Zbyszko said, "It was a business arrangement. Ware wanted the money more than the title. Sounds like a smart business decision to me." Schiavone said, "Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Koko B. Ware is in our first match of the evening so let's go to the ring and ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta."
Koko B. Ware defeated The Missing Link (with Gary Hart) in 5:33 by pinfall after a missile dropkick. After the match, Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin came out with Precious and challenged Ware to a match. Ware said Garvin wasn't worth his time. Garvin asked, "Well, how much will it take, sellout?" The audience began to chant, "Sellout! Sellout!" Garvin continued, "I mean, how much did Ted DiBiase give you to lay down in the middle of the ring and give him the title?" Ware accepted the challenge, but only if it was a hair vs. hair match. Garvin reluctantly accepted and Ware said, "Big mistake because I don't know if you've heard or not, but they say bald is sexy if you're black, but if you're white, bald is just whack." The audience actually booed Ware including several bald, white men in the arena. A dejected Ware walked away as the audience continued to boo and chant "Sellout! Sellout!"

In a pre-recorded sit down interview, Sean Mooney interviewed Lex Luger and Madusa Micelli, who was in a wheelchair and wearing a neck brace. Luger said that he had accepted Paul Orndorff's challenge to a steel cage match at the LCW Caged Heat pay-per-view on August 19th, but it wasn't going to be a handicap match. Luger said Orndorff's piledriver on Madusa at LCW Beach Brawl last Sunday had severely sprained her neck and she was lucky that she'll be able to walk again. Madusa began to cry and said there was nothing more that she wanted than to get in that steel cage and help Luger take Paul Orndorff out of action and break his neck as he tried to break her neck, but she couldn't. Madusa continued to cry and Luger put his arm over her shoulder and told her it would be all right and assured her that he would take care of Paul Orndorff at LCW Caged Heat and make sure he never walks again.
The Bushwhackers defeated The Funks in 4:12 by pinfall when Bushwhacker Luke pinned Dory Funk, Jr., after Terry Funk accidentally hit Dory with his branding iron. After the match, an upset Terry walked out on Dory, leaving him in the ring alone.
From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko discussed the still missing Randy Savage who was supposed to be interviewed last Sunday on the LCW Beach Brawl pay-per-view from a mental institution near his home in Sarasota, FL, but Savage checked out of the mental institution only hours before Sean Mooney arrived for the interview. Schiavone said, "We understand that next week on LCW Showdown, LCW Board of Directors member Bruno Sammartino will be here to discuss the status of Randy Savage's career in LCW. Larry, I think we all understand how deeply affected Randy Savage was by the loss of Sensational Sherri Martel, but there comes a time when you have to keep on living and get back to work." Zbyszko said, "Yeah, Tony, you just don't disappear off the face of the earth like Savage has. You grieve, you mourn, but at some point you get on with your life and get back to your job." Schiavone said, "You're right, but I know I am and I'm sure all of our fans are glad that, while he may be missing and in self-imposed exile, at least he's all right and he's safe." Zbyszko said, "I don't know if I'd say he's all right. Look, Savage is a powder keg right now. And his exile, I think, is only making it worse, but I'm actually kind of glad he's gone. With his mindset the way it is right now he could be a liability to Legends Championship Wrestling."
Jack Brisco defeated Greg Valentine in 5:37 by submission with the figure four leglock in a WarGames qualifying match.

The Skyscrapers defeated LCW World Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation in 7:41 by countout after Sid Vicious powerbombed Jim Neidhart from the ring, over the top rope, outside the ring and through a table at ringside. Neidhart, the legal man, was counted out and the referee signaled for help from the back as Bret Hart dropkicked Sid Vicious and clotheslined Dan Spivey over the top rope.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko reviewed the footage of Sid Vicious powerbombing of Jim Neidhart from the ring, over the top rope, outside the ring and through a table at ringside that happened moments. After reviewing the footage, Neidhart was being shown taken away on a stretcher.
In the back, Baby Doll tried to talk to Tully Blanchard, but he wanted nothing to do with her. Baby Doll said she was sorry for not doing more to help him retain the title, but he just got in her face, looked at her with a mix of anger and disappointment on his face for a moment, and then stormed away.
The Iron Sheik and Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie arrived at the mandatory anger management class that LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway demanded that Sheik attend if he wanted to keep his job in Legends Championship Wrestling. Sheik was angry that he even had to be there, but sat with Al-Kassie in the circle with the therapist and several other people who were there attending the class. The therapist asked The Iron Sheik to introduce himself and The Iron Sheik stood up and started yelling at the therapist calling him a jabroni for not already knowing who he was and saying that he was The Iron Sheik, former WWF World Heavyweight Champion, as Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie tried to calm him down. Sheik finally calmed down and said he was Olympic wrestling champion and pro wrestling champion. The therapist said, "Oh, a pro wrestler? Like Hulk Hogan?" Sheik started yelling again calling Hulk Hogan a "Hollywood blond jabroni." Al-Kassie managed to calm him down again reminding him that he needed to complete the anger management program if he wanted to keep his job.

In the back, LCW Heritage Champion Sam Houston approached Baby Doll as he was on his way to the ring and thanked her for her help at LCW Beach Brawl last Sunday. Baby Doll said, "But Sam, I didn't do anything. That's the whole point. That's the reason why Tully is mad at me and blames me for the loss. I didn't do enough to help him." Houston said, "But you were there. I could feel you were conflicted. I know deep down inside you wanted me to win. You can't deny what we used to have, what we used to be. That's why you didn't help him." Baby Doll said, "But that's the whole point, Sam. I didn't want you to win. Tully deserved to win that match. I don't want to be rude, Sam, and I don't want to hurt your feelings, but he's just a better wrestler than you are, he's a better champion than you are." Houston said, "How can you say that? After the way he treated you?" Baby Doll said, "He was distracted. He was worried he was going to lose me to you. You just don't understand do you? Tully needs me because I'm his rock." Houston said, "Yeah, his rock that he can cast aside whenever things don't go his way and he needs someone to blame." Baby Doll said, "It's not like that. He's just upset. He's just worried." Houston looked down and then said, "Yeah, it might be just that, but last Sunday night I was the better wrestler and now I'm the better champion because I am the champion. Look, I know we've been through a lot together and you don't have any reason to want to, but I was wondering if… if maybe you might want to get dinner with me sometime? Just dinner, so we can talk. Maybe next week when we're in Chicago?" Baby Doll said, "I don't know if I should, Sam. I mean, with everything that's going on with Tully…" Houston said, "Just think about it. And let me know. Listen, I've got a match right now against Baron Von Raschke. If you want to go to dinner next week, come to ringside during the match. If you don't show up, I'll know you don't want to go. But I'd really like you to join me for dinner. Just so we can talk." Baby Doll said, "All right, Sam. We'll see." Houston kissed her hand and walked away.
LCW Heritage Champion Sam Houston defeated Baron Von Raschke in 5:07 by pinfall after the bulldog. During the match, Baby Doll came out and stood at ringside and even cheered for Houston on occasion. By coming to ringside, Baby Doll had agreed to join Houston for dinner next week in Chicago. After the match, Baby Doll handed the title to Houston and even raised his arm in the air before leaving the ring and allowing him to continue celebrating alone.
{COMMERCIAL BREAK}
In the back, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway approached Baby Doll and said, "Hey, Baby Doll. Look, I don't know all the details of what's going on between you and Tully Blanchard right now. I know he blames you for his loss of the LCW Heritage Championship at LCW Beach Brawl last Sunday, but I want you to know that I don't want what's going on between you guys to effect our relationship. You know what you mean to me and how important you are to me and this organization. So, I'm not getting involved. I'm staying out of it. As far as I'm concerned, you're still a member of the Entourage and if you ever need anything from me, don't you worry about asking me for it, all right?" Baby Doll thanked Calaway and gave him a hug before she walked away. Tully Blanchard appeared from around the corner and said, "Do you think she bought it, boss?" Calaway smiled, chuckled, and said, "Hook, line, and sinker. Tully, don't worry, she'll be back in the fold in no time. She knows her role. She'll be back by your side before you can say, 'Sam Houston, former LCW Heritage Champion and former legend in Legends Championship Wrestling.' Tully smiled and said, "I like the sound of that." Calaway continued, "Beside, all women are the same: they want what they can't have. Shut her out for awhile and she'll be begging to come back and she'll be more faithful than ever. Plus, she already knows you're the better man." Tully said, "I hope so." Calaway said, "You can trust me on this one, Tully. I know women." Calaway smiled and Tully shook his hand and said, "Thanks, boss." Calaway said, "Listen, right now I want you to go out there and take care of Ted DiBiase's light work. I want you to go out there and take out all of your aggression towards Baby Doll and Sam Houston on Superfly Jimmy Snuka." Blanchard said he would and headed to the ring.
{COMMERCIAL BREAK}
Superfly Jimmy Snuka defeated Tully Blanchard in 5:07 by pinfall after the Superfly Splash. After the match, an irate Blanchard attacked the referee. Snuka came back to the ring to save the referee. LCW Television Champion Ted DiBiase came out and attacked Snuka, knocking him out with the Million Dollar Dream sleeper hold as Blanchard attacked Snuka until security officials came out and pulled DiBiase and Blanchard off of Snuka.
Diamond Dallas Page came out with the LCW United States Championship and celebrated his third LCW United States Championship with the crowd. Page said he was going to be what he has always been: a fighting champion, and was willing to give Dr. Death Steve Williams a rematch anytime, anyplace. Williams came out with his manager Cowboy Bill Watts who said, "How about tonight, Page? How about the two of us against you? I mean, you're such a fighting champion. Take on the both of us. Fight the both of us, right now. That is unless all that yoga you're into has turned you into a little bitch!" Page thought about it for a second, looked at the crowd who cheered their approval, and accepted the challenge heading through the crowd and to the ring. Williams and Watts attacked him once he got into the ring and a referee ran out to officially start the match.
LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page defeated Dr. Death Steve Williams and Cowboy Bill Watts in 5:29 in a handicap match by disqualification after the referee stopped the match and disqualified Williams and Watts wouldn't stop attacking Page. Scott Hall came out with a steel chair, cleared Williams and Watts out of the ring, and then helped Page to his feet.
In the back, Tully Blanchard confronted LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway in his office and said, "I can't do this without Baby Doll. I need her back. I don't think I can do this without her." Calaway yelled at Blanchard and said, "Be a man, Tully! I miss her too, but you made the mistake. You screwed this up. You lost the title and blamed her. You put your hands on her. You'll be luck if she ever comes back." Blanchard said, "But she wants to come back. She tried to apologize to me earlier." Calaway said, "But she didn't do anything to try and help you in your match against Sam Houston at Beach Brawl and because of that you lost the LCW Heritage Championship. But you also went too far when you blamed her and put your hands on her. As far as I'm concerned, it's both your faults and you've both lost perspective on where your priorities lie, where they should be, with the Entourage. I'm also a little worried about where her loyalties lie. Until you two can get your priorities in check, we need to make her earn her spot in the Entourage again. And we might just need to do the same thing with you." An angry Calaway left his office, slamming the door behind him.
{COMMERCIAL BREAK}
Strike Force (with Tom Zenk) defeated LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Nasty Boys (with Missy Hyatt) in 5:12 by pinfall in a non-title match when Rick Martel pinned Brian Knobbs after Santana hit Knobbs with the flying forearm smash. After the match, The Nasty Boys attacked Santana and Martel while Hyatt distracted Zenk and they began making out with each other. The Nasty Boys left the ring and Hyatt stopped making out with Zenk. Zenk then realized what had happened and went to help Martel and Santana to their feet. Martel pushed Zenk away and Santana calmed them both down and they all left the ring together.
{COMMERCIAL BREAK}
LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff defeated Jake The Snake Roberts in 6:04 by pinfall in a lumberjack match after LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham hit Roberts with a DDT on the floor and then rolled Roberts back into the ring. After the match, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway came out and joined Koloff, Graham, and Tully Blanchard in the ring. A black pickup truck arrived and was stopped by security officials and Calaway demanded that Austin be kept away from the ring. Austin yelled, "Calaway, you can keep me away this week, but next week, I'm going to open the biggest can of whoop ass you've ever seen and drown you in it." Calaway responded from the ring saying, "Not if Nikita Koloff is kicking your ass! Next week on LCW Showdown, LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff will face Stone Cold Steve Austin…in a non-title match. And Austin, you won't be allowed in the arena until that match is ready to take place."
