LCW Showdown Television Results 07.25.07

LCW Showdown Television Results (July 25, 2007) live from the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA.

Tonight'
s episode of LCW Showdown is dedicated in loving memory to legendary wrestling manager Ronnie P. Gossett.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown and discussed the main event for tonight which is also the main event for LCW Beach Brawl this Sunday: LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff and LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin and Big Van Vader, with the titles being on the line this Sunday at LCW Beach Brawl. Schiavone also announced that there would be a tag team battle royal and the final two teams in the ring would face each other at LCW Beach Brawl to determine the number one contenders for the LCW United States Tag Team Championships.

Lex Luger (with Madusa Micelli) defeated Hillbilly Jim in 4:35 by pinfall after the piledriver. Before the match, Lex Luger came out with Madusa Micelli and challenged anyone in the back to come out and face him one on one. Hillbilly Jim came out and accepted the challenge. After the match, Luger attacked Jim and hit him with another piledriver. Paul Orndorff came out with a steel chair and cleared Luger and Madusa out of the ring. Luger grabbed a microphone and said, "Orndorff, you think you're piledriver is so much better than mine, than why don't you show me how to do a piledriver. Why don't you pick up that piece of redneck garbage in the ring and show me how to do a piledriver?" At first, Orndorff refused and challenged Luger to get in the ring, but Luger refused and continued to challenge Orndorff to hit Hillbilly Jim with the piledriver. Orndorff picked up Hillbilly Jim and put him in position with the piledriver. Madusa ran into the ring and kicked Orndorff in the back of the head. Orndorff dropped Hillbilly Jim and turned his attention to Madusa, grabbed her by the hair and yelling at Luger, "You want to see a piledriver? You want to see a piledriver?" Orndorff then hit Madusa with the piledriver before leaving the ring.

In the ring, medical officials were checking on the condition of Madusa Micelli after she was hit with the piledriver by Paul Orndorff. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out to check on Madusa and Luger grabbed him and demanded that he do something about Paul Orndorff. Bockwinkel grabbed a microphone and said, "You know what, I am going to do something about it. This Sunday, you're going to face Paul Orndorff in a piledriver match. The winner will have to hit his opponent with the piledriver before they can score the pinfall. How does that sound?" Luger said that sounded great and went to check on Madusa as medical officials put her on a stretcher and moved her out of the ring.

In the back, Diamond Dallas Page attacked LCW United States Champion Steve Williams from behind and hit him with the Diamond Cutter. Page then grabbed Watts and threw him up against a wall and said, "Get your wrestling boots on, Cowboy, because tonight you and me are going to take care of some business. And when I'm done with you, I'm taking care of your boy, Dr. Death at LCW Beach Brawl this Sunday."

The Skyscrapers and King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang defeated The Hart Foundation and Demolition in 4:26 by pinfall when Sid Vicious pinned Jim Neidhart after the powerbomb. After the match, the four teams brawled with each other until the show went to commercial.

In the back, Cowboy Bill Watts and LCW United States Champion Steve Williams, who was holding his neck after the Diamond Cutter from Diamond Dallas Page earlier, were walking through the arena corridor on their way to the ring when LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel walked up to them and said to Williams, "Dr. Death, I'd like to warn you that if you interfere in this match tonight, you will be stripped of the LCW United States Championship." Watts got in Bockwinkel's face and said, "That's bullshit and you know it." Bockwinkel said, "And I know that if you don't get out of my face, I'll put the title on the line tonight and you can lose if for Dr. Death or retain it, but I think you're losing this match is more likely so it's really up to you. What'll it be, Cowboy?" Watts said, "This is just because I did a better job when I was LCW Commissioner than you have ever or could ever do." Bockwinkel sarcastically said, "Yeah, that's exactly what this is." Watts turned to Williams and said, "I've got this one, Steve. Don't worry about it." Watts turned back to Bockwinkel and said, "Don't worry about anything, Mr. Bockwinkel. I can promise you that Dr. Death Steve Williams won't interfere in the match." Watts and Williams continued on to the ring as the show went to commercial. As they walked away, Bockwinkel sarcastically yelled to him with a smile on his face, "Good luck, Cowboy."

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Diamond Dallas Page defeated Cowboy Bill Watts (with LCW United States Champion Steve Williams) in 2:58 by pinfall after the Diamond Cutter. After the match, LCW United States Champion Steve Williams got in the ring and tried to attack Page, but Page moved out of the way of an attempted running clothesline and hit Williams with the Diamond Cutter before leaving the ring through the crowd.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko talked about the whereabouts of Randy Savage, who has been missing from Legends Championship Wrestling for almost a month since defeating and then attacking The Honky Tonk Man during a Sensational Sherri Martel memorial match. Schiavone announced that Randy Savage had been found and would be interviewed at LCW Beach Brawl this Sunday in a one-on-one sit down interview with Sean Mooney.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, in his office, LCW Chairman of the Board was on the speakerphone with Hulk Hogan and Calaway extended another invitation to appear at LCW Beach Brawl. Hogan said, "Oh, I'll be there, brother. And you can count on one thing: I'm going to personally reintroduce myself to Stone Cold Steve Austin."

Stan Hansen defeated Ken Patera in 5:45 by pinfall after the Lariat clothesline. After the match, Hansen grabbed the microphone and challenged Magnum TA to a match at the LCW Beach Brawl pay-per-view on July 29, 2007. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out and announced that Magnum TA would face Stan Hansen at LCW Beach Brawl this Sunday. Hansen said he wanted to hear Magnum TA accept the match himself, but Bockwinkel said Magnum wasn't in the arena, but had asked him for a match at LCW Beach Brawl against Hansen. Bockwinkel said Magnum only had one thing that he wanted and Hansen said, "Give him whatever he wants." Bockwinkel asked Hansen if he was sure and Hansen said again, "Give him whatever he wants. I just want to mess him up." Bockwinkel said Magnum wanted a street fight match and it was going to happen at LCW Beach Brawl, but Bockwinkel was going to make it more interesting for both of them because the winner would be the number one contender for the LCW International Championship.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed The Iron Sheik and Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie shouted about the facist, racist regime of LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway and said, "just like all other stupid Americans he is racist toward Arab Americans." Al-Kassie complained about the fact that The Iron Sheik's career in Legends Championship Wrestling was on the line at LCW Beach Brawl when he would have to face an opponent of Calaway's choosing. Clarence Mason appeared and identified himself as lead attorney for Legends Championship Wrestling and said, "Trust me gentlemen when I say that no one else in professional wrestling understand racism more than myself. But let me warn you that if you don't cease and desist with your libelous, slanderous, and defaming statements I'll have no option and no choice but to file suit against you on behalf of my client Mr. Calaway and Legends Championship Wrestling." Mason got in Al-Kassie's face and said, "Because of his outbursts in various media outlets regarding various legends, your client, The Iron Sheik, already has one foot out the door. He's become a liability to Legends Championship Wrestling, but let me warn you personally to watch what you say or you'll be joining him if you're not careful." Mason stepped away and said, "With that said, I do wish you luck Mr. Sheik because from what I understand you're going to need if you want to win your match at LCW Beach Brawl, earning the right to remain in Legends Championship Wrestling. But let me warn you that while this is an opportunity to remain in LCW, if you keep making these out burst, you're not going to be in Legends Championship Wrestling for long regardless or who you beat or what matches you win."
