From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown. Schiavone mentioned that it was Bruno Sammartino and Pedro Morales' first match twenty years.

Scott Hall defeated LCW United States Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams (with Cowboy Bill Watts) in 6:37 by pinfall in a non-title match after Diamond Dallas Page interfered and hit Williams with the Diamond Cutter while the referee was distracted by Cowboy Bill Watts who jumped up on the ring apron. After the match, Page and Hall left together.

The Rock 'n' Roll Express defeated LCW United States Tag Team Champions King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang (with Bobby Heenan) in 5:18 by pinfall when Morton pinned Gang to win the LCW United States Tag Team Championships after Demolition interfered and hit One Man Gang with the Decapitation Device.

In the back, Virgil confronted Koko B. Ware and the two men brawled until Ted DiBiase appeared and picked up the LCW Television Championship and blasted Ware with the title belt before dropping it on his chest. DiBiase leaned down and said, "I gave up the rematch clause, but that doesn't mean you can't give me a rematch if you really want to." DiBiase took a hundred dollar bill, put it in Ware's mouth and said, "Think about it. Just think about it."

In the back, Sean Mooney was interviewing the new LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Rock 'n' Roll Express when Missy Hyatt approached them and began to flirt with them, congratulating them on regaining the titles, and asking them for a title shot for The Nasty Boys. Ricky Morton said if The Nasty Boys wanted a shot at the titles they needed to grow up and issue a challenge like men. The Nasty Boys then appeared out of nowhere and attacked The Rock 'n' Roll Express and when they were done attacking them Brian Knobbs said, "Consider that a challenge, punk."

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko updated everyone on the status of Randy Savage, who was still missing after the death of Sensational Sherri Martel. Footage was shown of Savage attacking Honky Tonk Man and Jimmy Hart during the Sherri Martel memorial match several weeks ago on Showdown. Schiavone announced that Savage had been missing for 21 days and there had been no contact from him.

As Sam Houston was making his way to the ring to wrestle The Iron Sheik (with Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie), Baby Doll appeared from the back and tried to stop Houston in the entrance way and talk to him, but she was only trying to distract him so that LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard could attack Sam Houston from behind. Blanchard blasted Houston with his title belt and then stood over him with Baby Doll in the entrance way as the audience booed.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed an irate Cowboy Bill Watts, with LCW United States Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams, about Diamond Dallas Page interfering in Williams match with Scott Hall. Watts challenged Hall and Page to a tag team match next week on Showdown. Mooney asked who Williams' partner was going to be and Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin appeared with Precious. Garvin said, "Next week on Showdown, Dr. Death is going to take out that punk Diamond Dallas Page and I'm going to knock that jerk Scott Hall down a peg. Hell, maybe I should just bring a six-pack to the arena with me next week and we won't have to worry about Hall at all." Garvin, Watts, Williams, and Precious laughed as they walked away together.

The Skyscrapers defeated Demolition in 7:22 by pinfall when Dan Spivey pinned Demolition Ax in a number one contenders match for the LCW World Tag Team Championships. During the match, King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang interfered and Bundy rammed Ax's back into the ringpost and then rolled him into the ring. LCW World Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation came out to stop Gang and Bundy from doing anything further to Demolition, but it was too late as the damage was done and Spivey scored the pinfall and the win as The Skyscrapers become the number one contenders for the LCW World Tag Team Championship.

Paul Orndorff defeated Butch Reed (with Slick) in 6:26 by pinfall after the piledriver. Before the match, Lex Luger and Madusa Micelli came out and joined Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko in the broadcast booth and mocked Orndorff during the match. During the match, after Orndorff hit Reed with the piledriver, Luger said that was a pathetic piledriver and said his piledriver, the Attitude Adjustment, was better than Orndorff's version of the piledriver. After the pinfall, Luger picked up a microphone and said, "Orndorff, next week I've got a match and I'm going to show you how to do a piledriver properly. And then at LCW Beach Brawl I'm going to hit you with the piledriver properly and put you out of wresting when I break your neck in half. It's called the Attitude Adjustment for a reason. But not only am I going to adjust your attitude with my piledriver, I'm going to adjust your vertebrae." Orndorff headed to the broadcast booth, but Luger and Madusa left before Orndorff could get there.

LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff and LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham (with LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway) wrestled Bruno Sammartino and Pedro Morales to a no contest in 8:10 after Big Van Vader, with Harley Race, interfered and tried to attack Koloff and Graham. After the match, Koloff and Graham attacked Vader until security officials came out and separated Koloff and Graham from Vader. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out and announced that next week on LCW Showdown there would be a special double main event. Bockwinkel announced that next week on Showdown LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham would face Big Van Vader in a non-title match. As Calaway threw a fit in the ring, Koloff looked on in shock as the show went off the air.
