LCW Showdown Television Results 06.27.07
Tonight's episode of LCW Showdown is dedicated in loving memory to Chris Benoit (1967-2007), Nancy "Woman" Benoit (1964-2007), and Daniel Benoit (2000-2007).
In the back, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway was sitting at the desk in his office which was filled with various legends from the LCW roster. Calaway said, "As you have no doubt already heard, Chris Benoit allegedly murdered his wife Nancy and son Daniel over the weekend before taking his own life on Monday. The news reports posted on LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com are from the most reliable and reputable news sources as well as from police officials, but please remember that they are the results of preliminary investigations. The autopsy and toxicology reports have yet to be released. I speak to you today with a sad and heavy heart. A lot of negative things are being said about Chris Benoit during this difficult time, both reported by the press and assumed by fans. Message boards, bulletin boards, MySpace pages, and web blogs across the net are filling with an equal amount of memorials and messages of outrage, anger and hatred towards Benoit. I understand more than you can know, for as I am saddened by the loss of Chris, I am also angry at him for the way he left this world and the way he took his wife and son with him. I do want to make one thing perfectly clear: Chris Benoit was not a horrible man. Nor was he a terrible father or husband. First, we must be patient and wait for the light of truth to break though the dark rumors and assumptions before we form opinions. And even then, while there is little doubt of Chris' role in this terrible tragedy, there is no doubt of the kind of man he was before this horrible tragedy befell his life and his family. I ask you today to remember that man, the man you admired, the man you looked up to with awe as he leaped off the top rope for his flying headbutt, the man you cried with when he mourned the loss of his best friend Eddie Guerrero. While I don't personally believe in traditional religious figures or planes of existence, I do pray that Chris, Nancy, and Daniel have found their way to a better place now. With only four days until SuperClash, we had a tough decision to make regarding tonight's show: continue telling the stories that we've all worked so hard to tell over the past few months in preparation for the biggest night of the year in Legends Championship Wrestling or dedicate tonight's entire show to Chris and Nancy Benoit. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to move forward with our plans. While we may never fully know what happened or why it happened, I do want to say one thing in closing: please remember Chris Benoit as and for the man he was, not as the man reportedly responsible for the terrible tragedy that befell him and his family last weekend. Thank you for your support and understanding during this extremely difficult time."
From the broadcast booth, Larry Zbyszko was welcomed back by Tony Schiavone after being attacked by Nikita Koloff last week and announced that as announced on the LCW Underground radio show last Friday, he was going to be joining Big Van Vader and Jesse Ventura tonight to face the members of the Entourage: LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff, LCW International Champion Superstar Billy Graham, and LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard in a six-man tag team match.

Mean Gene Okerlund introduced Hulk Hogan who came out with Bobby Heenan, King Kong Bundy, and One Man Gang. Hogan introduced Debra McMichael as Debra Marshall and Jeannie Clark who came out together and joined The Heenan Family in the ring. Jeannie talked about her past with Steve Austin and how he was a pathetic loser while they were together and she had to leave him because he just wasn't worthy of having a woman as amazing as her in his life. Debra berated Austin saying that he wasn't a real man because real men don't beat up women. A picture of Austin's mug shot appeared on the LegendsTron from when he was arrested for assaulting Debra in 2002. The audience actually cheered when the mug shot appeared and Debra said, "And here was why he was arrested." A picture of her with a swollen cheek and a bruise on her right eye appeared on the LegendsTron. The audience didn't respond and seemed to be shocked. Debra said, "Yeah, he's not so cool now, is he?" Debra also claimed that Steve Austin failed to "measure up" as a man in other ways. She said Hulk Hogan was a real man and was going to prove he was a better wrestler and a better man at the LCW SuperClash pay-per-view this Sunday. Debra passed the microphone to Hogan who said, "You know something brother, I don't really have anything else to say. I'm shocked and appalled at the kind of man Austin is, but it doesn't matter because at SuperClash this Sunday, brother, I'm going to give that redneck some lessons on how to be a gentlemen and how to treat a lady, a lesson that I'm going to beat into Austin. I'm going to teach Austin how to treat a lady by making him my bitch, brother." The two women left with Hogan and the rest of the Heenan Family.

Demolition came out and Demolition Ax said from the entrance ramp, "For too long one team has been standing at the top of the mountain with our title belts. They've claimed to be the most dominant team in Legends Championship Wrestling, but they've obviously forgotten about us. They might be walking into LCW SuperClash as the champions, but this Sunday we're walking out as the number one contenders and we're talking back our titles." The six teams in the ring took exception to what Demolition was saying, "As for you twelve, we've beaten you before and we'll beat you again. Hell, why wait until this Sunday." Demolition jumped into the ring and the seven teams brawled until Demolition cleared them out of the ring and stood in the ring alone.

Austin grabbed the microphone and said, "Do you people in the back think I'm kidding around here? I'm not leaving this ring until that bald, stupid son of a bitch gets in this ring right now. I'm not waiting until this Sunday." Austin waited and then said, "You want to parade my ex-wives out here and have them insult me. I'm going to insult your face with my boot."
