LCW Showdown Television Results 05.23.07

Showdown (May 23, 2007) live from the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, TX.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to a one-hour edition of Showdown.

LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway came out with LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff, LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard, with Baby Doll and Superstar Billy Graham. From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone commented that Calaway had "quite the entourage behind him now." Calaway announced, "Tonight, LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff, LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard, and Superstar Billy Graham would face LCW International Champion Magnum TA, the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship Jesse Ventura, and Jake Roberts in a six-man tag team match. Calaway looked at Koloff, Graham, and Blanchard and then said to Graham, "We're going to get you some gold. At the LCW Uprising pay-per-view this Sunday, LCW International Champion Magnum TA will defend his title against Superstar Billy Graham."

Steve Williams (with Cowboy Bill Watts) defeated Terry Taylor in 5:18 by pinfall after the Oklahoma Slam. After the match, Sensational Sherri Martel came out and hit Williams with the low blow. Cowboy Bill Watts grabbed her by the hair and yelled at her, but she kicked him in the crotch as well. Randy Savage then ran out and attacked Watts, hitting him with the flying axehandle and then going under the ring and retrieving a table. Setting the table up in the ring as Sherri kicked at Watts, Savage and Sherri placed Watts on the table and then Savage hit Watts with the flying elbow smash through the table. Williams chased Savage and Sherri out of the ring as medical officials ran in to check on Watts.

In the back, Kimberly Page was putting on knee pads when LCW Television Champion Diamond Dallas Page approached her. Suddenly, Ted DiBiase and Virgil appeared and began to attack Page. Virgil grabbed Kimberly and began to drag her towards the arena. Zbyszko said, "Is this how this match is going to start." Schiavone said, "I believe so."

Virgil defeated Kimberly Page in 0:39 by knockout with the Million Dollar Dream. During the match, DiBiase continued to attack Page, busting him wide open with the LCW Television Championship title belt. DiBiase then came to ringside and put the Million Dollar Dream sleeperhold on an already knocked out Kimberly and then stick a hundred bill in her mouth.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Dr Death Steve Williams who said Cowboy Bill Watts probably wouldn't be at ringside this Sunday because of the elbow smash through the table, but it didn't matter because Sensational Sherri Martel wasn't going to be at ringside either. Mooney asked Williams what he meant, but Williams just walked away. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel approached Mooney and tried to get Williams to return, but he wouldn't. Bockwinkel announced that Steve Williams would face Randy Savage at LCW Uprising this Sunday in a table match.

After the match, Calaway handed Koloff his chain and Koloff attacked Magnum, Roberts, and Ventura with the chain, knocking Roberts and Magnum out of the ring. Graham and Blanchard attacked Roberts and Magnum out of the ring while Koloff continued to attack Ventura with the chain. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out with security officials who tried to get Ventura out of the ring. Bockwinkel said, "Nikita Koloff, you want to play with chains, then we'll let you play with chains. At the LCW Uprising pay-per-view this Sunday, you're going to defend your title against Jesse Ventura in a Chained Fury match. We're going to replace the ropes with metal chain, the turnbuckles are going to be removed, and you're playground could turn into your worst nightmare." After the announcement, security got Ventura out of the ring and helped him up the entrance ramp.

In the back, Hulk Hogan was attacked by King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel approached Bobby Heenan as LCW security officials pulled Bundy and Gang off of Hogan and as medical officials rushed to check on Hogan's condition. Bockwinkel reminded Heenan that the Heenan Family could only reform if he could win the steel cage match.
