In the back, LCW Television Champion Tully Blanchard, with Baby Doll, who was wearing a neck brace after being DDT'd by Jake Roberts last week, knocked on the office door of LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway. Nikita Koloff opened the door and welcomed them into the office. Calaway thanked them for meeting with him personally and Calaway thanked Tully Blanchard for being the first person in the ring to save him from Stone Cold Steve Austin last week. Calaway stood up and shook Blanchard's hand and said, "I can't thank you enough and I want you to know that if there's ever anything you need or if I can return the favor one day, I will." Blanchard thanked Calaway and said he was a little worried about defending his title against Kevin Von Erich tonight in his hometown of Denton, Texas. Calaway said, "Don't worry, Tully. You'll be leaving Texas with the gold." Blanchard thanked Calaway and shook his hand and Baby Doll extended her hand. Calaway shook her hand and as Blanchard turned to leave, Calaway held onto Baby Doll and said, "And if there's anything I can do for you Baby Doll, you be sure to let me know." Calaway kissed her hand and she smiled and thanked him. Baby Doll said, "Now that you mention it, you can see the effects of what Jake Roberts did to me last week when he hit me with that DDT. I want Jake Roberts pay. Can you do that for me?" Calaway said, "I can do more than make Jake Roberts' pay. I can make him suffer. Don't you worry about a thing. I'll take care of Jake Roberts for you." Baby Doll thanked him and Blanchard and Baby Doll left as Calaway and Koloff watched them leave.
From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown and discussed Stone Cold Steve Austin's official return to LCW last week on Showdown and his confrontation with LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway. Schiavone announced that Austin was arrested and a camera crew followed Calaway as he went to confront Austin in jail the night of his arrest. Footage was shown of LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway arriving to the police station where Austin was being held. Calaway asked to see Austin and was escorted to where Austin was behind held. Calaway laughed and said, "Stone Cold Steve Austin, exactly where you belong: behind bars. Well, I just wanted to let you know personally that I've pressed charges against you and I will continue to press charges against you every time you put your hands on me, because I'm not a wrestler. I'm a promoter and I'm a businessman." Austin tried to grab Calaway, but he moved back. Calaway said, "See, you still don't understand. You're like an animal in a cage and you're going to stay in that cage until you understand that this is over between us. I will admit that I made a mistake a couple months ago. I made a business decision and it might have been a mistake when I took the LCW Universal Championship from you because I didn't think you deserved it. I still don't think you deserve it. But I'm willing to give you a second chance to prove yourself, Steve. I'll stay out of your way if you agree to keep your hands off of me. Prove yourself worthy, do what you do best, raise some hell, earn the title again, prove to me how bad you really want it and I'll let destiny do its thing. I'll let fate take its course. You're a former LCW Universal Champion, I'll let you have that, but the question is how bad do you want it again?" Calaway walked away leaving Austin to contemplate what Calaway said. Back in the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone announced that Austin had been released on bail and would appear in court next Wednesday and that the judge would allow LCW cameras to be in the courtroom.
