LCW Showdown Television Results 04.04.07

Showdown (April 4, 2007) live from Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina.

Nikita Koloff wheeled LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway out to the entrance stage. Calaway, who was in a wheelchair and wearing a neckbrace after being injured with a piledriver through a table at the hands of Harley Race, said, "Several weeks ago, when I tried to put Harley Race on the shelf, I only tried to do that, put him on the shelf. He's an old man, but he's a former professional wrestler. He's a warrior. He's a veteran. But what Harley Race tried to do to me last week was uncalled for. I just tried to get him out of Legends Championship Wrestling, but he could have ended my life with that piledriver through the table last week. I'm just a suit. I'm a businessman. I could have been killed last week." The fans began to chant, "Asshole! Asshole!" Calaway continued, "Say what you want. I think it's a testament to my fortitude and my courage that I survived that attack last week and that I'm out here tonight." LCW Universal Champion Big Van Vader appeared and began brawling with Nikita Koloff. Superstar Billy Graham came out and began attacking Koloff as well. Vader turned his attention to Calaway who tried to wheel away, but couldn't get away fast enough. Vader grabbed the wheelchair and pushed Calaway off the entrance stage and through a table beside the entrance ramp. While the wheelchair took most of the fall, Calaway was still hurt. LCW security offcials ran out and separated Graham and Koloff and escorted Vader away. LCW medical officials ran in to check on Calaway.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel announced that tonight LCW Universal Champion Big Van Vader and Superstar Billy Graham would face Nikita Koloff…in a handicap match.

In the back, Nikita Koloff reacted to the announcement as LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway was loaded onto an ambulance. Koloff asked Calaway if there was anything he could do and Calaway said he was a little more concerned with whether or not he was going to ever walk again.

LCW Television Champion Butch Reed (with Slick) defeated Terry Taylor in 4:48 by pinfall after a powerslam.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the hospital, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway demanded a telephone and was told he would be given a telephone after the doctors ran some tests. Calaway demanded the phone and began grabbing anything around him and throwing them against the wall and towards the doctors. Calaway yelled at the doctors as they cleared the room, "Bring me a telephone, damnit!"

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan interviewed Magnum TA via satellite. Magnum had his head bandaged, a nose guard, and an eye patch on after being attacked by The Dynamite Kid at LCW Breaking Point after winning the LCW International Championship from Masahiro Chono in a triple threat match with The Dynamite Kid. Magnum said, "You gave me some of the best match of my life and I grew to respect you, but at LCW Breaking Point, when you placed that title on my face and then stomped on it, you destroyed that respect. But most importantly now, you've got what's mine. My face is going to heal. My orbital bone will heal, my broken nose will heal, the stitches will be removed, but the pain and injury that I'm going to cause you when I come back to get what's mine will never heal." The Dynamite Kid appeared in the production truck and demanded the producers pull the satellite feed. Dynamite, with the LCW International Championship, said, "Is this what you're talking about? Is this what you say is yours? Well, let me ask you something, mate: if it's yours, then why don’t you have it? Why is it around my waist? Why is it over my shoulder when I head to the ring? Why am I going to defend it while you're on the shelf? Because it should have been mine and now it is mine. At Breaking Point, you won what should have been mine, what should have never been yours, but I've got it now and that's all that matters. If you want it, come get it."

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the hospital, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway had a telephone and was talking to someone and said, "You need to get to the arena now. He needs you now more than ever. Do whatever you can, just get there." Calaway listened as the person on the other end of the line spoke and Calaway said, "I know the rules. I invented the rules. Don't worry about them. I'll take care of them."

LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation wrestled Strike Force to a no contest in 5:19 after The Skyscrapers, The Nasty Boys, and The Blackjacks interfered and all five teams began to brawl. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel announced a double battle royal next week. One battle royal would feature Jim Neidhart, Tito Santana, Dan Spivey, Jerry Sags, and Blackjack Windham. The winner of battle royal one and his partner would face the winner of battle royal two and his partner. If both members of one team win both battle royals then they will automatically become the new LCW United States Tag Team Champions.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Brother Love came out for "The Brother Love Show" interview segment and introduced his guest Diamond Dallas Page, who came out on crutches and said, "Kevin Sullivan is one crazy son of a bitch. He tried to avoid me and I can't say I blame him, but once I got him in that Hell in a Cell steel cage match two weeks ago at LCW Breaking Point, he hung with me all the way and proved himself to be more than just a crazy son of a bitch. He proved himself to be a warrior. Sullivan, I still hate you, but I have a new found respect for you. You did everything you could to avoid the match, but once you were in that cage you fought like an animal for survival with everything in you." LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out and announced that Diamond Dallas Page was the number one contender for the LCW Television Championship and would get his title shot at the LCW Torment pay-per-view on April 22, 2007.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

The Powers of Pain (with Paul Jones) wrestled Demolition to a no contest in 5:44 after LCW World Tag Team Champions the Wild Samoans, with Gary Hart, interfered and attacked Demolition. The Powers of Pain tried to join the attack, but the Wild Samoans attacked them as well, sending them out of the ring. Demolition regained their senses and clotheslined the Wild Samoans out of the ring and down to the floor where they continued to brawl with the Powers of Pain to the back.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan talked about the main event between LCW Universal Champion Big Van Vader and Superstar Billy Graham against Nikita Koloff in a handicap match. Schiavone said the producers were telling him that there was a change to the main event and that it would now be a tag team match with Nikita Koloff having a partner to be announced later. Schiavone then announced that a legend would be returning to Legends Championship Wrestling. A special video package featuring Hulk Hogan played including footage of Hogan being suspended last year for steroid use, steroids that were placed in Hogan's locker by Eric Bischoff, in conjunction with Bobby Heenan. When the video was finished, an angry Bobby Heenan said, "What the hell is going on around here? How can anyone let that guy return to LCW? What is the Board of Directors thinking? What's the matter with them? Well, it doesn't matter. I'm out of here. I've got to do something about this." Heenan threw down his headset and left the broadcast booth.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone welcomed Lance Russell who joined him for the rest of the show replacing Bobby Heenan who left after hearing that Hulk Hogan was returning to LCW. Schiavone and Russell talked about Hogan coming back to LCW and Russell said, "As long as he doesn't use Priceline.com to get here, I'm looking forward to it."

LCW Heritage Champion Tully Blanchard (with Baby Doll) defeated Lex Luger (with Madusa Micelli) in 6:48 by pinfall after the slingshot suplex.

In the back, Superstar Billy Graham confronted LCW Universal Champion Big Van Vader. Graham said, "I just want you to remember one thing: I helped you win that title. That title is around your waist because of me. Now, I want a title shot from you." Vader laughed and said, "You didn't do sh*t, old man. You tried to, but just like always, you couldn't pull it off." Graham said, "Well, one way or another, you're not going to be champion for long." Vader said, "The only thing you need to worry about tonight if Nikita Koloff. You're my partner not because I want you to be or because I need you to be, but if you get in my way I'll line you up next to Koloff and knock you down as well." Graham said, "We'll see," as he walked away. Vader said, "Yeah, we will, old man."

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Universal Champion Big Van Vader (with Harley Race) and Superstar Billy Graham defeated Nikita Koloff and Ivan Koloff in 8:16 by pinfall when Vader pinned Ivan Koloff after the powerbomb. After the match, Nikita Koloff helped his uncle up to his feet before hitting him with the Russian Sickle clothesline.
