LCW Showdown Television Results 03.21.07

Showdown (March 21, 2007) live from Halton Arena in Charlotte, NC.

Tonight's episode of LCW Showdown is dedicated to the memory of Arnold Skaaland (1925-2007).

The Wild Samoans and Abdullah The Butcher (with Gary Hart) wrestled Demolition and George Steele to a double disqualification in 4:04 after the referee lost control of the match and the two teams began brawling and didn't stop until LCW security officials and several wrestlers came out to separate the two teams.

In the back, LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel approached LCW Television Champion Butch Reed and Slick and informed them that Reed would have to face Jack Brisco again, but this week the title would be on the line and the match was up next. Reed yelled at Bockwinkel as he walked away saying, "This is bullsh*t," and blaming Slick saying, "How could you let this happen?" Slick tried to calm Reed down and said, "We'll figure something out." Reed said, "What the hell are we going to figure out? He's a former World Champion. He beat me last week. He could take my title, man." Slick said, "I think I've got an idea."

Jack Brisco defeated LCW Television Champion Butch Reed (with Slick) in 4:28 by countout after Slick interfered and blasted Reed, who was holding Brisco in place, with the steel chair shot after Brisco moved out of the way. The chair shot knocked Reed out of the ring which led to the countout as Brisco put Slick in the figure four leglock as the referee counted out Reed and awarded the victory, another one over Reed, to Brisco. However, during the countout, Tony Schiavone thought he noticed Reed lift his head up and see if the referee was still counting. After reviewing the tape, it was clear that the chair shot was not that hard and that Reed may have even release Brisco early so that he could get away so that Slick could hit him with the chair lightly enough to make it look good and knock him out of the ring where he could then pretend to be knocked out and get counted out. Heenan said, "That was genius! Reed loses the match, but he keeps the title. He even outsmarted Nick Bockwinkel. Genius!"

In the back, LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel approached LCW Television Champion Butch Reed and Slick as they celebrated outsmarting Bockwinkel and Jack Brisco. Bockwinkel said, "You two think you got one over on me, don't you?" Slick very arrogantly said, "Yes, I do because we did." Bockwinkel said, "Think again! This Sunday at LCW Breaking Point, Butch Reed you're going to defend that title against Jack Brisco…in a no disqualification, no countout match. Try getting out of that one!" After Bockwinkel walked away, Reed looked at Slick and said, "Now what are we going to do?" Slick said, "Um…we'll…we'll think of something. We'll think of something."

Marty Jannetty defeated Jimmy Garvin (with Precious) in 2:10 by countout after Ron Garvin interfered and chased Garvin and Precious out of the ring.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Baby Doll about the fans voting in a poll on LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com that said she was hotter than Sensational Sherri. Baby Doll said, "Are you really that surprised, Moonbeam? I mean, look at her. There's a reason that they call her Scary Sherri. Now, look at me, Moonbeam. I'm tall, blond and beautiful. I'm everything she's not and in a few minutes, I'm going to mess her up even more than she already is. Then, Tully and I are going to LCW Breaking Point this Sunday and with me in his corner he's sure to win the LCW Heritage Championship from Randy Savage." Tully Blanchard appeared and said, "That's right, Baby Doll. In just a few short minutes I'm going to give Randy Savage the wrestling lesson his daddy never gave him. It doesn't matter who's been a World Heavyweight Champion before or who hasn't. All that matters is that you've got what I want, the LCW Heritage Championship, and when it's mine I'm going to start my journey to something you've never had…the LCW Universal Championship, my destiny. Let's go Baby Doll." They left together as Sean Mooney told everyone to stay tuned.

In the back, Jimmy Garvin and Precious were still running from Ron Garvin when they ran into Big Van Vader. The two men began to brawl and security came out to separate

In the back, Sean Mooney interview Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin, with Precious, who demanded that LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel join them. Bockwinkel appeared and Garvin demanded a match with Vader saying, "Two weeks ago, Vader started sh*t with me and I've had it. First, I want Vader tonight and if I beat him, I want his spot against LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff at LCW Breaking Point this Sunday. Second, if by some weird freak of chance I don't beat the fat out of Vader tonight, I want Ron Garvin at LCW Breaking Point. Either way, I want Ron Garvin banned from ringside tonight when I face Vader. Bockwinkel said, "It all sounds good to me. You've got it. Good luck." Garvin looked shocked and said, "Really? Wow, that was easier than I thought it would be." Bockwinkel started to walk away, but turned around and said, "Oh, but if you don't beat Vader tonight and do have to face Ron Garvin in a match at LCW Breaking Point this Sunday, it's going to have a stipulation of his choosing...ANY stipulation of his choosing." Garvin didn't like the sound of that and didn't say anything as Bockwinkel walked away.

Tully Blanchard and Baby Doll defeated LCW Heritage Champion Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri Martel in 6:43 by pinfall in a mixed tag team match when Baby Doll pinned Sherri Martel after Blanchard hit Sherri with the slingshot suplex.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed The Blackjacks who explained they were reinstated by the LCW Board of Directors after Strike Force, who miraculously survived having their rental car struck by The Blackjacks' pickup truck last week on Showdown, demanded a match with them and even agreed to put the LCW United States Tag Team Championships on the line at LCW Breaking Point this Sunday. Blackjack Mulligan said Strike Force just didn't put their title reign in jeopardy, but their very lives. Blackjack Lanza said the "little automobile accident" last week was going to be like a day at the rodeo compared to what they were going to do to Strike Force this Sunday. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel approached The Blackjacks and said, "Strike Force got their match and you got your title shots, but this Sunday at LCW Breaking Point, you're going to return to the scene of the crime because you're going to face Strike Force in a parking lot brawl match!" The Blackjacks said they were fine and that it would be Strike Force's funeral.

From LCW Headquarters in San Francisco, CA, Mean Gene Okerlund conducted a sit down interview with Superstar Billy Graham. Graham said he's made a lot of mistakes in his life, but what LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway did to Harley Race last week was reprehensible and he should be ashamed of himself. Graham said Race took advantage of a man who would kick his ass if Nikita Koloff hadn't hit Race with the Russian Sickle clothesline. Okerlund asked about being the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship. Graham said he only had one reason for being in LCW, "and for that matter, only one reason for living, to be the LCW Universal Champion again." Graham said, "Five months ago I was the LCW Universal Champion for ten days. Brother, ten days isn't long enough and I don't care if it takes me a hundred years I'm going to get that title back and it's going to be mine and next time it's going to be around my waist for a lot longer than ten days."

In the back, Sean Mooney approached Tully Blanchard and Baby Doll as they celebrated their victory over LCW Heritage Champion Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri Martel. Blanchard and Baby Doll kicked Sean Mooney out of the locker room and continued their celebration.

The Iron Sheik and his manager Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie came out and Al-Kassie said Arnold Skaaland was a great man. Because of him, The Iron Sheik became WWF World Heavyweight Champion. He said all Americans should thank Arnold Skaaland for making The Iron Sheik the WWF World Heavyweight Champion because without him, Bob Backlund may have never submitted and they may have never had a great champion to look up to like The Iron Sheik. The Iron Sheik said he wanted to honor Arnold Skaaland by beating Bob Backlund, but since Backlund wasn't in Legends Championship Wrestling anymore he was extending the challenge to any American stupid enough to accept his challenge. Corporal Kirchner accepted the challenge in honor of Arnold Skaaland.

Corporal Kirchner defeated The Iron Sheik (with Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie) in 4:58 by submission when Al-Kassie threw in a towel while Kirchner had The Iron Sheik in the Cobra Clutch in a match dedicated to Arnold Skaaland.

You can line 'em up and they'll knock 'em down: Doom, The Skyscrapers, The Nasty Boys, they've defeated 'em all. But you have to remember one important thing: Demolition was, past tense, was the most dominant tag team in LCW, but not anymore because The Wild Samoans are here and they are going to prove their dominance by destroying Demolition at what they do best, demolishing tag teams. And their not just going to beat Demolition, they're going to take their LCW World Tag Team Championships as well. At Breaking Point this Sunday, the only thing broken…will be Demoltiion."
