LCW Showdown Television Results 02.07.07

Showdown (February 7, 2007) live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan announced that tonight LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel would announce the LCW Board of Directors' choice for the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship at the LCW Descent pay-per-view on February 25, 2007, in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. Schiavone and Heenan also talked about Dusty Rhodes getting a title shot tonight against LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff after winning the Sam Muchnick Memorial Battle Royal last Saturday night at Showdown at the Chase V.

King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang defeated The Young Stallions in 4:26 by pinfall when Gang pinned Roma after the 747 Splash. After the match, Gang said they were the largest team in the world and they had just begun their reign of devastation. In the broadcast booth, Schiavone said Gang and Bundy were on a roll since the disbanding of the Heenan Family, a comment that Bobby Heenan ignored and refused to comment on.

In the back, a limousine arrived and Randy Savage got out with Sensational Sherri Martel.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Heritage Champion Terry Taylor defeated Marty Jannetty in 5:37 by pinfall after a piledriver. After the match, Randy Savage came out with Sensational Sherri Martel and said, "Just in case anyone forgot, I almost made Ted DiBiase bleed to death to become the number one contender for the LCW Heritage Championship. Taylor, that means I'm coming for you. And if I did that to Ted DiBiase, just imagine what I'm going to do to you. Oooh, yeah!"

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, Cowboy Bill Watts approached Madusa about Lex Luger's confrontation with Steve Williams in the Sam Muchnick Battle Royal last Saturday at LCW Showdown at the Chase V and said, "Listen, why don't we let our two boys just go at it in the ring." Madusa said she would think about it. Watts told her that was fine, but suggested that she not take too long as Williams doesn’t like to be kept waiting.

Brutus Beefcake defeated Killer Khan (with Mr. Fuji) in 6:44 by knockout with the sleeperhold. Before the match, footage was shown of the brawl between Khan and Beefcake during the Sam Muchnick Memorial Battle Royal at Showdown at the Chase V which led to this match.

In the back, LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel approached LCW Television Champion Butch Reed and told him that he was going to face Jake Roberts tonight. At first Reed was angry, but Bockwinkel told him it was going to be a handicap match with Slick and Reed against Roberts. This made Reed happy, but Bockwinkel told Reed that if Roberts won the match, he was going to get a shot at the LCW Television Championship at LCW Descent on February 25, 2007.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Jake Roberts defeated LCW Television Champion Butch Reed and Slick in 8:41 by pinfall in a handicap match when Roberts pinned Slick after the DDT after Roberts chased Reed out of the ring after letting the snake out of the bag. After the match, Roberts celebrated the victory by wrapping the snake around Slick before Reed could pull Slick out of the ring.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Tully Blanchard who said, "When Arn Anderson was forced to leave LCW, a part of me left with him, but I was a legend before Arn Anderson and I'll be a legend again on my own without Arn Anderson and tonight the legacy of Tully Blanchard is going to start a new chapter."

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Tully Blanchard defeated Corporal Kirchner in 5:14 by pinfall after the slingshot suplex.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan interviewed Jesse Ventura from his hospital room after his neck surgery after being attacked by LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff several weeks ago. Ventura said he was fine and the only thing he was focused on was getting back in shape and getting to LCW, but he warned Heenan that he might be sitting next to Schiavone for awhile and told him to get comfortable there because he wasn't going to be returning to the broadcast booth when he comes back to LCW. He's going to be returning to the ring and he won't leave the ring until Nikita Koloff is out of Legends Championship Wrestling.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff defeated Dusty Rhodes in 14:02 by pinfall after the Russian Sickle clothesline. After the match, Koloff grabbed a steel chair from ringside and assaulted Rhodes with it, busting him wide open, until LCW security officials came out. Koloff nailed a couple of the security officials, but one managed to get the chair away from him. Koloff then tried to attack them without the chair, but one of the guards maced him and tackled him. The security officials had to handcuff Koloff and began to drag him away. From the broadcast booth, Schiavone asked, "What the hell has happened to Nikita Koloff?" As he was making his way down the entrance way, Koloff broke the handcuffs and began attacking the security officials, but he couldn't see because he was blinded by the mace. One of the security officials hit Koloff with a nightstick, and he went down to his knees and was handcuffed again and dragged to the back. As they made their way through the corridor and to Koloff's locker room, they passed LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway office and Calaway stepped out and demanded they release Koloff and place him in his office. They tried to argue, but he said, "I pay each and every single one of your paychecks. Release him now or you'll all be fired. You've blinded him, you've beaten him, but give him a few more minutes to regain his senses and I guarantee you he's going to try to kick your asses again. That why he's the LCW Universal Champion. Remand him to my custody now!" They reluctantly released Koloff and he blindly tried to strike Calaway. Calaway calmed Koloff down by identifying himself and demanding one of the security guards to get him a wet towel.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway calmed LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff down and tried to wipe the mace out of his eyes. Calaway said Koloff was out of control and was going to lose the only thing he cared about, the LCW Universal Championship, if he didn't control his rage. Calaway said he didn't care what had changed in Koloff or why he had, but he wanted Koloff to harness the rage inside of him and Calaway wanted to focus it in the right direction. Calaway asked Koloff to trust him and Koloff said he would.

In the ring, Mean Gene Okerlund introduced LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel who came out and announced the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship at LCW Descent on February 25, 2007, in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan..."Stone Cold" Steve Austin!

In the back, LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff, still blinded from the mace and holding a wet towel to his eyes, yelled at LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway and said, "You said I could trust you. You said you take care of everything." Calaway said, "Nikita, you can trust me. I will take care of everything. It's all a part of the plan. Don't worry about anything." After he calmed Koloff down, Calaway walked out of the locker room and took out his cell phone and called someone and then said, "It's happened. The Board of Directors just named Austin the number one contender. Yes, I understand that, but…" Calaway listened for a moment and then said, "Listen, I will do whatever it takes to make sure that Austin doesn't become the Universal Champion, but I might need your help. I can't do this alone. I've obviously lost the support of the Board of Directors." Calaway continued to listen to the other called and said, "No, I understand completely. Like I said, I'll do whatever it takes. No, thank you Mr. McMahon."
