LCW Showdown Television Results 10.04.06

Showdown (October 4, 2006) live from Reed Arena in College Station, TX.

Brother Love came out for the "Brother Love Show" interview segment and introduced his guest, Capt. Lou Albano. Albano came out and joined Brother Love in the ring and announced that he had sold Don Muraco's contract to Mr. Fuji. LCW Board of Directors member Bruno Sammartino appeared on the LegendsTron from LCW Headquarters in San Francisco, CA, surrounded by the other members of the Board of Directors and announced an expansion of the Board of Directors and he invited Albano to join the Board of Directors. He also announced that there would be two more members announced at a later date. Albano left the ring as the fans stood and cheered, honoring one of the most successful managers of all-time.


{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Mr. Fuji who was standing with The Orient Express, Don Muraco and Killer Khan. Mr. Fuji said his collection of premium athletes from around the world was growing and gaining Don Muraco's contract was just the beginning of what was going to be the beginning of his dominance as a manager in LCW.

Jake Roberts (with Slick) defeated Rick Steiner in 4:16 by pinfall after the DDT. After the match, Slick tells Roberts to attack Steiner. Roberts went for his snake, but he realized it was gone. Roberts hit Steiner with another DDT before leaving the ring. Schiavone said, "The only snake in Roberts' corner now is Slick."

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Bobby Heenan, who was standing with One Man Gang, King Kong Bundy, and Ken Patera. Heenan told Orndorff to find some friends because they were coming for him. Heenan then introduced the newest member of the Heenan Family: Billy Jack Haynes! Haynes challenged Orndorff to find some friends because the entire Heenan Family was going to do whatever it takes to end his career next week.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Heritage Champion Kevin Von Erich, Jimmy Snuka, and Bob Backlund defeated Greg Valentine, The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart), and Randy Savage (with Sensational Sherri Martel) in 8:10 by pinfall when Von Erich pinned Savage with a small package rollup. After the match, Randy Savage snapped and hit Von Erich with The Honky Tonk Man's guitar.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Don Muraco and The Orient Express (with Mr. Fuji) defeated The Fantastics and Marty Jannetty in 6:14 by pinfall when Don Muraco pinned Marty Jannetty after the reverse piledriver. From ringside, Sean Mooney interviewed Mr. Fuji who said, "I tell you truth earlier, Mooney. I tell you tonight I begin dominance as manager and it has begun."

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Magnum T.A. defeated Big Van Vader (with Harley Race) in 15:25 by pinfall after the belly-to-belly suplex.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

Dusty Rhodes defeated Cowboy Bob Orton in 5:37 by pinfall after the Bionic Elbow. After the match, Kevin Sullivan came out with a bag and attacked Rhodes, trying him upside down in the corner and hitting him several times with the Tree of Woe. After this, Sullivan opened the bag and Jake Roberts' snake slithered out. Sullivan wrapped the snake around Rhodes' body. The snake began to constrict around Rhodes' body as security officials came out and pulled Sullivan out of the ring. The security officials were reluctant to pull the snake off of Rhodes. Jake Roberts came out and pulled the snake off of Rhodes and took the snake to the back.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

In the back, Slick made Jake Roberts give the snake back to Kevin Sullivan. Slick left the locker room as Roberts sat and put his head in his hands, heartbroken at being reunited with his snake only to have to give it away again so quickly. Sullivan returned and leaned down and whispered to Roberts, "Don’t' worry, Jake. Soon, you'll be together and you'll be set free. If you only remember one thing, remember this: trust me." Roberts looked up as Sullivan walked away.

LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page (with Kimberly Page) defeated Stan Hansen in 5:37 by pinfall after the Diamond Cutter. After the match, Jake Roberts, with Slick, came out and attacked Page, hitting him with the DDT. Roberts then stalked Kimberly Page to the back where Kevin Sullivan was waiting for her on the other side of the curtain. Sullivan got in Kimberly's face and said, with a smile on his face, "I've been waiting for you." Kimberly screamed as the show went to commercial.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Jesse Ventura reviewed Showdown at the Chase IV and discussed LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway's involvement in the steel cage main event between LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff and The Ultimate Warrior in which Koloff knocked Calaway off the steel cage as he was climbing it which sent Calaway tumbling though the Spanish broadcast booth. Schiavone announced that Calaway was taken to a St. Louis hospital after the event where he was diagnosed with a separated shoulder and a severe concussion. Calaway was relocated to a hospital in his native San Francisco over the weekend where he is convalescing.

In the back, Kevin Sullivan and Jake Roberts put a bound and gagged Kimberly Page in the trunk of Sullivan's car and left the arena. Slick ran after the car screaming, "Where are you going?"

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Television Champion Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Dirty Dick Slater in 4:19 by pinfall after the Greetings From Asbury Park. After the match, Steve Williams came out without Cowboy Bill Watts and joined Bigelow in the ring. Williams respectfully challenged Bigelow to a match for the title next week on Showdown. Watts confronted him and said he would be facing Bigelow alone next week. Watts said he wanted to manage "Dr. Death", not "Dr. P*ssy".

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff (with Ivan Koloff) defeated Terry Taylor in 12:10 by pinfall after the Russian Sickle running clothesline. After the match, as Nikita Koloff was making his way to the back, The Ultimate Warrior attacked Nikita Koloff with a lead pipe as he made his way through the curtain. Warrior continued to attack Koloff, who was busted wide open, until LCW security officials came out to pull Warrior off of Koloff. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel came out as medical officials came out to check on Koloff. Bockwinkel announced that next week LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff would defend the title against The Ultimate Warrior. Bockwinkel got in Warrior's face and said it would be Warrior's last title shot…ever!
