LCW Showdown Television Results 07.12.06
In the back, LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway arrived in his limousine with LCW Board of Directors members Dominic DeNucci and Pedro Morales. Sean Mooney approached them and asked Calaway about Hulk Hogan’s future in LCW. Calaway said, ”Hulk Hogan is done in LCW for the time being. Officially, he’s still suspended and as a result of last week’s loss in a loser leaves LCW match to Cowboy Bob Orton he’s also going to be gone for awhile even after the official suspension ends. So, now Hogan can go work for McMahon, he can go work for Jarrett, he can go work in Japan for all I care. I’m just glad I don’t have to deal with him for awhile. As for his return, well, the old line in professional wrestling is never say never and that’s all I’m going to say. Now, while I’ve got you here Mooney, let me address something else. You know, contrary to popular belief, I didn’t arrange for Randy Orton to come to LCW Showdown last week and attack Hogan. I didn’t even know he was in the building. Orton acted of his own accord. As for Cowboy Bob Orton’s involvement in arranging his son’s entrance into the building, I don’t know anything about that. I do know though that tonight, as a result of his victory over Hogan last week, I’m giving Cowboy Bob Orton a title shot. So tonight, on LCW Showdown, LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff will defend his title against Cowboy Bob Orton. Oh, and if Randy Orton decides to show up on my show again, I’ll not only make sure his father ends up in the unemployment line, but I’ll make sure that that punk a** jerk has to be wheeled to the ring at SummerSlam. And if you don’t think I can do it Randy, know that I’ve got more muscle behind me than you’ve got between your ears.” With that, Calaway mumbled “Legend Killer my ass,” and then walked away with DeNucci and Morales.
Tony Schiavone and Jesse Ventura welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown and discussed the upcoming main event between LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff and Cowboy Bob Orton.

In the back, Superfly Jimmy Snuka walked up to LCW Heritage Champion Bob Backlund and said, “Tonight, we’re partners. But at Beach Brawl, I’m taking that title from you. We’re friends now, but at Beach Brawl, I’m not going to forget about all that.” Backlund said, “That all right, Jimmy. I understand.”
LCW Heritage Champion Bob Backlund and Jimmy Snuka defeated Killer Khan (with Mr. Fuji) and Superstar Billy Graham in 4:14 by disqualification after Khan blew his green mist in Backlund, Snuka, and even his partner Graham’s face. After the disqualification was announced, Khan also blew the mist in the referee’s face.
In the back, Doom, who was leaving their locker room with Woman, ran into The Nasty Boys, who were heading to the ring with Missy Hyatt. Doom said they were going to do whatever it took to defeat The Nasty Boys and become the number one contenders for the LCW World Tag Team Championships.
Doom (with Woman) wrestled The Nasty Boys (with Missy Hyatt) to a no contest in 7:16 after The Skyscrapers (with Theodore Long) interfered and attacked both teams. After the match, all three teams brawled while Woman and Missy Hyatt attacked Theodore R. Long at ringside. Meanwhile, LCW World Tag Team Champions The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express came out to enjoy the brawl.
In the back, Paul Orndorff confronted Big Van Vader, who was with his manager Harley Race, in his locker room. Orndorff got in Vader’s face and said, “Last week, you cost me my rematch against Nikita Koloff. You cost me my title.” Vader responded by saying, “I didn’t cost you anything. But I will cost you something if you don’t get out of my face. Anyway, it doesn’t matter because the title is mine.” Orndorff said, “Not if I have anything to do with it.” Orndorff then attacked Vader and the two men had to be separated by LCW security officials.
In the back, LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel announced that next week Ron Garvin would get a chance to prove that the pinfall earlier this evening wasn’t a fluke next week on Showdown in a non-title match against LCW United States Champion The Honky Tonk Man.

After The Hart Foundation left the ring, The Rougeau Brothers helped Jimmy Hart to his feet and helped him to the back.

Suddenly, from behind Big Van Vader attacked Nikita Koloff until LCW security officials came out and pulled Vader off of Koloff. Medical officials tried to check on Koloff but he just shoved them away and then started heading back to the ring.
LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff defeated Cowboy Bob Orton in 8:29 by pinfall after the Russian Sickle clothesline. During the match, the referee was knocked out and Paul Orndorff came out and hit Koloff with a piledriver and then went to the back.
