LCW Showdown Television Results (April 2, 2008) live from the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Showdown as "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance, the LCW Showdown theme song, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena. Schiavone and Zbyszko discussed the contract signing last week on LCW Showdown between LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and Stan Hansen for the upcoming LCW Torment pay-per-view on April 20th. Footage was shown of the contract signing which saw former LCW Universal Champion Nikita Koloff return and interfere in the proceedings. Koloff attacked both Austin and Hansen. Schiavone announced that tonight the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship Stan Hansen would face Nikita Koloff one on one in tonight’s main event.

Magnum TA and Brutus Beefcake defeated Paul Orndorff and Don Muraco (with Mr. Fuji) in 8:12 by pinfall when Magnum pinned Orndorff after the belly-to-belly suplex. After the match, Mr. Fuji broke his cane over Beefcake’s head. With Beefcake knocked out, Orndorff and Muraco attacked Magnum until LCW Television Champion Manny Fernandez came out with a steel chair, clearing Orndorff and Muraco out of the ring and helping Magnum to his feet.

Koko B. Ware defeated Tony Atlas (with Slick) in 4:10 by pinfall with a schoolboy rollup after Rocky Johnson returned and hit Tony Atlas from the ring apron. Ware rolled up Atlas for the pinfall and the win. As Johnson was leaving ringside with Ware, he blasted Slick with a punch as well and threw him into the ring with Atlas. Tony Atlas grabbed a microphone from ringside and challenged Rocky Johnson to come back to the ring. Johnson ran back into the ring and clotheslined Atlas over the top rope. Slick, left alone in the ring with Johnson, slowly made his way to his feet. After Slick was on his feet, Johnson grabbed him and hit him with the Rock Bottom! From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone said, “Rocky Johnson just hit Slick with the Rock Bottom. He just took a page out of his son’s playbook with the Rock Bottom!” Johnson kicked Slick out of the ring and then challenged Atlas to get back into the ring. Atlas grabbed a microphone and said he wanted to wait until it really meant something, he wanted to wait until LCW Torment in three weeks. Atlas said a few months ago he sent Johnson out on a stretcher, but this time he wanted to personally send him out in an ambulance. Atlas said he wanted to personally load Johnson into the ambulance, but not with a broken arm. Atlas said he wanted to load Johnson into the ambulance after breaking his neck. Atlas challenged Johnson to an ambulance match at the LCW Torment pay-per-view on April 20th. Johnson accepted the challenge.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Lady Amazon, who was standing with Col. Robert Parker and the LCW United States Tag Team Champions Cowboy Bob Orton and Dirty Dick Slater. Amazon, with a smile on his face announced, “I’m pregnant again!” Amazon said, “What Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson tried to take away from me, God has given back to me!” Col Robert Parker grabbed the microphone and said, “And let there be no doubt this time about who the father is because…I’m the daddy!” Amazon and Parker began making out and Slater said, “Oh, get a room,” as he and Orton walked away.

The Midnight Express defeated Demolition in 5:21 by disqualification after LCW World Tag Team Champions The Skyscrapers interfered and attacked the Midnight Express hitting both Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey with a powerbomb before leaving the ring.

Billy Jack Haynes defeated Outlaw Ron Bass (with James J. Dillon) in 6:07 by pinfall after a full nelson slam. After the match, LCW Heritage Champion Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin, with his valet Precious, attacked Haynes from behind, hitting him repeatedly on the back of the head with Precious’ purse until Haynes was unconscious. Haynes left the ring with Precious as medical officials rushed into the ring to check on the fallen Haynes.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page who said he was going to put the exclamation point on his feud with Randy Savage in a last man standing match tonight. Page said, “This has been going on for too long between me and Savage, but it’s going to end tonight, monkey and it’s going to end with a BANG!”

Randy Savage defeated LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page in 12:52 by decision to win the LCW United States Championship in a last man standing match after Savage, who slipped out of an attempted Diamond Cutter, pushed Page into the corner and Page hit the steel ring post head first before staggering into a flying double axehandle from Savage. Savage then hit Page with two flying elbow smashes before pinning Page and allowing the referee to make the decision ten count.

In the back, the new LCW United States Champion Randy Savage celebrated his victory over Diamond Dallas Page with The Genius Lanny Poffo and Sheamus O’Shaunessy.

Iceman King Parsons defeated Kevin Sullivan (with Luna Vachon) in 6:17 by disqualification after Abdullah The Butcher, who’s head was still heavily bandaged after being attacked by Parsons at the LCW Torment pay-per-view two weeks ago, and Kamala interfered and attacked Parsons. Abdullah and Kamala attacked Parsons until Kevin Sullivan pulled them off of Parsons and escorted them to the back.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Iceman King Parsons who said he wanted Abdullah the Butcher and Kamala in the ring next week adding, “I don’t care if it’s a handicap match, a tag team match, I’ll find a partner, but I want those two in the ring so I can end this thing once and for all.

LCW Television Champion Manny Fernandez defeated One Man Gang (with Skandor Akbar) in 7:24 by pinfall after the Flying Burrito.

In the back, Sean Mooney interviewed Kevin Sullivan, with Luna Vachon, who was with Abdullah the Butcher and Kamala and said, “Look around Sean Mooney, because you are witnessing the dawning of a rebirth, the rebirth of the Dungeon of Doom. Iceman King Parsons, we welcome you to be the first to walk into the dungeon next week. Find a partner, because no matter who you team with, you will be felled by Abdullah and Kamala like all the rest.”

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express defeated The Bolsheviks in 2:58 by pinfall when Morton pinned Boris Zhukov after a missile dropkick. After the match, Ricky Morton grabbed a microphone and said, “There’s no secret about what we want and we’re going to get it at the LCW Torment pay-per-view. We are enacting our rematch clause for the LCW United States Tag Team Championships and we’re going to get our titles back in three weeks at LCW Torment. And Lady Amazon, no matter what you blame me for, no matter what you think I took from you, know that I’m happy for you. I’m happy that you’ve become a desperate, filthy gold digger, know that I’m glad you’ve found the love of your life in that slime ball Col. Robert Parker, and know that I’m happy for you that you’ve been given a second chance to be a mother even if the child is the product of one of the most disgusting pairings I’ve seen since Michael Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley. But know this: if you step in our way, if you stop us from getting what you took from us, you’re going to lose more than just another baby!” Morton threw down the microphone and left the ring with Gibson.

Stan Hansen wrestled Nikita Koloff to a no-contest in 6:12 after LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin interfered and attacked both men. However, the numbers proved to be too much for Austin as Hansen and Koloff gained the upper hand and attacked Austin. Hansen and Koloff reached for the LCW Universal Championship at the same time. As both men made it to their feet, they dropped the title and started brawling with each other over it as the show went off the air.
